Re: URGENT-PLZ HELP! HD Overload Indicator issue...boggled!
5. I have tried to close ALL programs, open up Live, load in ONE track...and STILL it glitches. Are you using any plug-ins or anything at all when you do this? Ableton Live is completely bare, and you drag one clip in, trigger it, and you still get drop-outs? Also, what audio interface are you usin...

Re: operator fm ratio
The ratios are 'harmonics' of the base frequency. Harmonics are multiples of the frequency. For instance if you had 220 (A), 1 = 220, 2 = 440 (one octave up), 3 = 660 (octave and a fifth, approximately) and so on (adding 220 each time). .05 = 110. For information on harmonics, I'd look at these: htt...

Re: Constant sample speed in Simpler?
To map a keyboard range to a clip: Go into MIDI Map Mode. Choose the clip that you want assigned to a keyboard range. Hit the note on your keyboard of the 'root' key. (it could be the note of the loop itself, or C or A if you want to play 'all white keys' major or minor respectively). While still ho...

Re: Question Regarding Master Levels When Mixing a Track
For getting that analog sound, I record my audio without clipping and then use Saturator on its default and raise it up a little. Or you could have a Utility just before Saturator and turn the Utility up to kind of 'push' the Saturator.. I prefer the earlier method though. ..When I'm just jamming fo...

Re: looping unwarped clips?
Two options: 1. If you plan to not change the tempo mid-project. You can activate Warp, but set the tempo to whatever your set is at. Stretch the start and end Loop markers all the way out, and let it play however it wants to. 2. You can have the Looper effect set so that it is not quantized, and fe...

Re: warping original bpm
Start with the original bpm. Warp the track (helps sometimes to have the original music as a reference). Make sure the warping is super accurate and plays exactly on beat. Change the tempo, or hit the save button on the clip's properties, Or drag the clip into the Live Library and give it a title fo...

Re: "Sends only" in Drum Rack sends?
For a return channel within the drum rack: Insert a reverb and hit ctrl+G (group). Expand that group so that you can see the reverb as a rack. Add Utility into the rack as a new slot and hit the Phz L and R buttons. Now if you feed a snare into that return channel, it will go into that rack. ..it wo...

Perhaps it is the closes to being 'on key' in context to the full span of the cutoff. Which might mean you'd get a similar effect using half or double that??

Re: Loop on the fly
I wish they had dedicated midi editing of clips on a per-channel basis. It would make mixing much more functional. Also cue points in one track via midi. What? the Traktor killer?.. almost. hahah ..fitting it naturally into the interface though might be a different story

Are you using pre-made clips? Clip automations cause the orange/black rings around knobs to bounce back and forth.

Re: "Sends only" in Drum Rack sends?
I don't have mine loaded right now, but there is another way to do it using a rack with an extra rack having a Utility with both Phz L and R buttons activated. Then your sound would go through both the (reverb, or delay or whatever) on one part of the rack, but also through that phase inverted Utili...

Re: Simpler: Adjust Sample Length in Sync w-Song Tempo?
A lot of people have requested for the stretching/tempo sync. There are a few ways to do similar things. One is having an arpeggiator and multiple samples (basically similar to the 'slice to midi') The other way is a super fine loop, and a clip automation that adjusts the Loop Start point's percenta...
