Re: Using Reference Track and Volumes (Magic A/B)
Hi, I'm using Magic A/B plugin to reference my tracks against pro produced stuff and with many things in this game it has thrown up more questions than answers. Bearing in mind that I am an English teacher and not a Maths teacher can someone explain in simple terms how volume works. I'll explain my...

Re: Do you consider yourself a composer or producer?
Oh yeah...forgot to mention time (how things should change over time and where things should change over time) is a weird one as it can change in all 5 steps. But generally the closer i can get form/time solidified towards step 1, the easier everything else becomes.

Hey Ubik, i don't quite get you? Isn't that what you'd want when you load a rack? I don't have push so maybe I'm just missing something obvious? if so sorryUbik wrote:wich mean you the parameters you mapped it to will be reseted when you load the rack.

Re: Ultimate Mixer - for Dual Monitor peeps
Quick question, if i click a plugin slot, will this plugin also be selected in session view? more specifically will it be blue handed for use with controllers? If so how many tracks can you comfortably fit in a window? Also is it possible to arrange 2 rows of tracks one on top of the other? thanks :...

Re: Do you consider yourself a composer or producer?
For me the whole process of production/composition/ follows a set of tasks from 'most creative' to 'most scientific' 1-Initial writing (most creative) 2-Initial recording (scratch tracks, rough arrangement ideas) 3- Arranging (expanding on ideas in step 2) 4-Mixing (i break this down into 2 steps-st...

Re: Augmented/hybrid Control of Ableton....
you see what would annoy the crap outta me, is you HAD it working! But ya no way around Automap being open so you're kinda screwed. Concerning Guilles script. i know nothing about it other than it seems to be written specifically for nocturn so i would presume it makes use of the 2 way communication...

Re: Augmented/hybrid Control of Ableton....
Sorry didn't see this...... Well you have some functionality but as you say it's not ideal. i just don't know enough about launchpad and definitely don't know anything about the custom script launchpad95. Automap, STC and Nocturn all play ball here. Also i presume the original launchpad script and A...

Re: Augmented/hybrid Control of Ableton....
Lemmie know which is the culprit as i can think of at least 3 different solutions (most probable will be getting rid of default nocturn script altogether and letting STC take up the slack)

Re: Augmented/hybrid Control of Ableton....
That being said, if you really do need the visual feedback, i am sure there is probably a way around it. I would suggest some combo of STC and the guille script (am i right in saying the guille script has visual feedback as it was made specifically for nocturn??) After much joy yesterday, I came do...

Abletons engine is running smooth. So is Logics. It is mainly down to the driver.

Re: Master Fader Automation. Bad Idea?
No.....as long as the master peak meter doesn't clip.but what I mean is, is it bad practise to adjust volumes with the utility on the master rather than balancing volumes on each individual track as the song goes from section to section

Re: Control selected track \w keyboard shortcuts
@Tom, One thing you might find helpful is saving your devices unfolded (if you cant be bothered macroing them) and configuring them so the most important parameters are first in the parameter list. Also helpful, is combining the macro's with the parameter list, if you leave the parameter list just t...
