Re: drum pads / triggers help, please
I'm a drummer, and I use a DrumKat to trigger sounds in live. This thing is built like a tank, and the sensitivity of the pads is surprisingly good. Easily set up in tandem with my kit, and it has a foot pedal for changing programs. Not only single hits, but you can trigger chords, arpeggios, and la...

Carbonite is a good idea for online backups.
Glyph drives are a good idea for external drive gigging.

Re: WARPING TO DJ
I know this is OT, but when I used to DJ I used Torq for house music and I swear that was so fucking quick and automatic it's really made me hate having to warp anything in Live. I dunno, Live needs a "dumb mode" for warping. Torq could guess the downbeat and the quarters most of the time;...

Re: Any game changing Plugs like the BBE D82 Sonic Maximizer?
I've liked Waves plugs for a while. Just used their R-Bass to fatten the low end of some Abba tracks; worked simply and well.
A dumb question I know, but does this BBE plug surpass the waves ultramaximizer?

Re: how to make a cheesy transition whoosh
Thanks!
I put the "swirl" preset from autofilter on some operator white noise, and it's just what I was looking for. Nailed it.

how to make a cheesy transition whoosh
Working on an ABBA medley and need one of those cheesy transition "whooshes" between tracks. First thought was to use operator, white noise and put a pitch envelop on it- but I can't get the pitch envelope to have any effect on white noise in operator. Any ideas how to do this, or how to g...

Re: The Schwarzonator is stupid
Although I'm not at all in love with my Darwinian analogy, I feel I am just unable to make the analogy clear. The evolution of technology can be compared to Darwin's theory of evolution in that a trait can develop (in respect that others are rejected) according to its usefulness, just as technology ...

Yep, I ate the bitch, shite her out, and picked out a little piece of corn that is the last remnant of her brain and channeled it to post a pic of Bootsy.
I hate that puerile cunt.
What does she like Bootsy too? If so good for her, I guess. I still despise her.

Re: The Schwarzonator is stupid
Ugh. Of course I realize Darwin's theory is about NATURAL selection. I am appropriating a theory from one area and applying it to another. I simply support coders and creators who make cool shit for me to play with. I'm very thankful for them, and don't think it makes ANY sense for people who use mu...

Re: The Schwarzonator is stupid
Regarding Darwin; if technological advancements are useful, they will be adopted. So, if people find something like the Schwarsonator useful, they will adopt it. That analogy seems valid enough to me. I just find that some people have an emotional reaction to new technology that is more about them f...

Re: damn you ableton.
Coming from linear arrangement sequencers, I fought against using Live's session mode. Then one day, after I had a good basic arrangement going in arrangement mode, I chopped everything into blocks and pasted them into session mode. Then I discovered the ability to pick various clips in session mode...
