It was my belief that California Love was a vocoder and not a talk-box. Makes more sense because the Roger Troutman thing was vocoders right? Zapp and all that? More Bounce to the Ounce? I Wanna Be Your Man?
For the talk-box, i guess the standard is the Peter Frampton album though.

I haven't really found a way to this on purpose. but when i use a MIDI Controller through USB that has native support like the Novation ReMOTE SL and then another controller not natively supported but mapped like the Faderfox LC2. I can control the same parameter such as the mute groups. I suppose i...

hmmmmm... well the problem you're describing with the USB sounddevices does not happen to me. In my MIDI Preferences, I get Korg Kontrol 49 Ports A, B, and CTRL. I turn on Port B in Live because that's what all the sliders and encoders are coming through by default for Live. It might be a problem pa...

hey. yeah. i don't like how korg has never kept the Kontrol49 up to date and it is kind difficult to learn. That's why I use my ReMOTE SL for most of my mappings. But you can change the MIDI CH of a scene by doing [SCENE]-->[MIDI CH] and can also change the port of a slider, encoder, etc. by doing S...

create a click track and send it to your drummer's monitors (in-ears preferably). make the click track's output sends-only and route it to a separate output on your audio interface (granted that you have a multi-output interface. Have Live dictate the Tempo of the band and you can change the tempo o...

I think my tip fixed would've fixed the original poster's problems. Live was at least sensing the Trigger Finger. Obscurity, you should probably try the USB hub if you haven't already. On my first gen MBP, I can't duplicate the problem. The TF works on both ports. I can test this out on my bro's 2nd...

What do you mean with where to start? which parameters to map to the trigger finger? Go to the M-Audio website. I think there is a video that shows an example of TF with Live. Presets 10 and 11 are made to be used with Live and Impulse. TF is good for Triggering samples and Loops. And experiment wit...

Is Remote turned on in your MIDI Preferences? I just bought the Trigger Finger choosing over the MPD24 because of it's pressure sensitivity and because it apparently won't do any false triggering due to extreme vibrations in live use. Anyway, when I plugged it in, same problem. I could not get MIDI ...

wow dfh2? I didn't even know Toontrack was still making that. When I run Superior, I use a 7200 rpm external drive. Maybe that will help if you're running it off of a 5400 rpm hard drive. Also, I second the idea of warming up your samples a little. Never had any problems running Superior in Live. Ev...

i think that people are interested in seeing whole mastering suites and not just a limiter. Probably people are looking for Multi-band compression and limiting which are offered in Live Packs for free or for very little cost. And hey, you can make one yourself using Racks. People basically just want...

i'm actually not using Automap Universal in Live right now and this is why. When I enable my Automap Universal plugs in the plug-in manager, they all appear in the Celemony folder in Live. Novation says this is a problem with Ableton and they have to fix it. So for now, to keep things organized, I'm...
