Thanks Chris,
By reading your post I got the idea that I must not open both programs Bomes and Midi-Ox, but just one of them
Sven, is that right? When I open Bomes and Live, my midi switch works the way I want.
But....I can't get the midi keyboard play!!!

Yes I have activated both remote and track, in the active devices input tab. "Remote control surfaces" tab has nothing to do with what I am trying, right? As I told you the keyboard is plugged into a USB input. First I open Midi-Ox and Bones, do what you described in steps 3-5 and finally ...

Sven , the trick you described works BUT... As I said before, I have connected the foot switch into the midi keyboard's 1/4 jack input, and the keyboard itself is plugged in a USB input. When I want to loop in Ableton using the foot switch I have to leave the Midi-Ox and Bones translator activated, ...

What about my other idea of moving between the slots using pedals similar to the arrow keys of the computer keyboard?
Hey you guys guitarists...
Can anyone suggest a foot pedal rack like the old ones that had this cross-style switches?Or have I seen it in a dream?Or in a videogame?

Thanks everybody :D I connected my midi keyboard on USB port . I already have this foot switch http://www.guitar-parts.com/product_pics/61c.jpg which only has 1/4 jack type connector , it comes from a Marshall guitar amplifier, and surprisingly it works!! Now my problem is how I can use this switch ...

Ok, obviously I didn't make myself clear... I try to avoid byuing FCB, I am asking if I can control any clip's rec/launch button with one simple midi foot switch. Well I believe now I can as long as the specific clip is activated(selected) So another nice idea comes up. I'd like to have a floor rack...

simple midi switch pedal to control clip rec/launch

I already know that most people use FCB 1010 to control Live. I thought that in my case ( I really don't want to spend time in programming and messing with midi), all I need at the moment is to control (by a foot pedal) the clip's ( any clip's ) rec/launch button. Could I do that using just one simp...

Thanks, I think I've found the trick to press the clip launch button correctly. In Preferences dialog , the Launch qantization is at "Global" and then all I have to do is to change the global quantization setting , right? So, I don't have to put a warp marker at the end of the clip while i...

beginner's problem while looping live

I want to make loops (audio for the moment) while jamming . I trigger the clip immediately after it is recorded without stopping. But after a few cycles it doesn't sound right to the beat. Why is that? Do I have to put warp marker at the end, while playing? What if there is no apropriate grid marker ...

Its price here in Europe is 166euro that is 205$. Still ,I don't know if I'll take the risk to buy it second hand. You people around here who have been using it, might know if the machine can easily get to a state of not working properly. (of course I don't mean after been hit!). As far as programmi...

So as I understand I can only connect one more external device since my audio card has only one midi output... Ok I can understand how to assign pedal parameters to Live functions but how can I select that some of the pedals (4 of them) will control the two other machines? (Boss SE-50 and Boss RC20x...
