3/ Select track 02 on the output of the track 01, now you can select the SSL Comp under the output

I stayed more than 10 years on logic.. Now I'm on live, since 2 years, and it's better for me (more creative tools, more dynamic way to compose and make live gigs..) But yes logic has very good plugins (but not the big plugins like ultrabeat.. too sophisticated..)

I recommend you IBM/Lenovo Thinkpad T61, very good laptop, I use it with RME Firewire card (Fireface400) and Native Instrument USB card (Audio kontrol 1), no problem !
The best for Firewire is PCMCIA with texas instrument chipset (no ricoh chipset..)
