Re: a stable step sequencer (native Live)

ok i think if you just refined the "All Together" step sequencer, and made it stable, that would at least be very useful. if you made part of Live's native midi effects, then it woul dbe usable.

"All Together.......Yes!---no"

So here it is again, i get fed up with the limitations of the arp, i know that thing inside out, and it can do alot of good things, but it ends up being just a bit too limited. Then i pop in a "All Together" max step sequencer type device and its working, it is actually really good, then w...

disable all output spectrums in EQ8

If you are doing performance etc. and you are not analyzing any levels or anything, there is no point in having every one of your EQ8 spectrum outputs enabled. This eats cpu. I might be using at least 20 or 30 eq8s and if you turn off all the visual spectrums it saves alot of cpu. Just a small trick...

that's why I use user mode exclusively . it eliminates all the problems of normal mode. but it takes a long time to learn it

Re: push question - focus on one track play another

in user mode you can custom map anything to anywhere, and it wont lose focus. you could map a knob on track 3 and be turning it, while your looking at track 4 and turning a knob on track 4

Re: Set EQ Three to max 0dB

i never use eq3, i find it to be very sloppy and not very useful, even for just simple cuts. eq8 all the way and turn on over sampling

Re: Mixing tips

i think its a matter of having all the main parts (kick bass drums vocal) in a good relationship soundwise ewith eachother. then you can turn it up louder.

Re: Beat Repeat should have a notch filter (or attack env)

i dont see why br cant just have a simple attack envelope for insert mode, that would be the perfect sol you just need someone to program it so that any "repetion" chunks that are outgoing flow through some final adj envelope, so you can get rid of that clicking OK, I see what you mean mo...

Re: Beat Repeat should have a notch filter (or attack env)

that tactic wont work when it's on insert though, insert is the best mode on br because it's clean, except for the non zero points. the methods you are describing are basically just like the mix mode. mix mode is ok for certain things but it's not good for creating very bold clean effects. it also c...

Beat Repeat should have a notch filter (or attack env)

So you can notch out the non zero point clipping artifacts that happen when you sample at a non zero point. i was advising to make some kind of attack envelope so you could get rid of the clicks that way, i advised that a long time ago, but you could also do it with a notch filter, just not as clean...
