Just map it to some control you aren't using, like 'pan' on an empty track.
Once you map a control manually, it will override default mappings.

Re: Upgrade to Suite - disc space issue
gents - would it solve the installation issue by buying discs instead of online install ? fwiw - my C:ssd is 128gb and has 24gb free while holding no large media files If you're running into space issues now, you will have a hell of a time in the future. Your drive is not large enough for your purp...

Device for mapping multiple controls to one parameter?
I'm looking for a device that will allow me to map many controls to one parameter. For instance, I have a MIDI controller with 3 knobs at each send a different CC. I would like a way for those knobs to control he same parameter. I suppose it's a backwards multimap device. The alternative (and possib...

Re: After 10 years : why is midi mapping in Live so archaic ?
Come one, mapping things to MIDI in Live is so limited. Nothing has changed for years. ignore some cc range - let's say you map one knob to 2 parameters. You want to trigger parameter 2 in the end of the knob only. Impossible. I've put many hours and found a handful of workarounds for this (max, le...

I use Dropbox, but there are many options: Google Drive, Mega, iCloud, OneDrive... Search for something like Cloud Storage Service.

Re: MIDI vs audio
A good audio interface will take some burden off your CPU. It may also improve the sound quality. However if you have a relatively modern computer and keep everything in the box, then an audio interface is probably unnecessary. Meaning, if you're pegging the CPU right now, an audio interface is not ...

Re: HELP: Buying a second hand Macbook Pro

Got it for $745, turns out the battery is supposed to be replaced after 500 cycles on further analysis the battery has had 583....

Instead of a full-on audio interface, consider a monitor selector like the Mackie Big Knob or the Presonus Monitor Station.

Re: iOS is a disappointment for making music
My biggest complaint with iOS apps to control MIDI was the latency. Simply not responsive enough.
This solved my problem, enabling audio and MIDI over the sync cable: http://midimux.com. Silly that Apple didn't make this a built-in thing.

Huh. That's a damn good question... Every day I question some of the decisions Apple made for Yosemite.Division Monarchy wrote:But where did the option to create a password for security go?
Maybe a portable wireless router might be the best option: http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.a ... 6833704134
