Have you picked an ointment to apply to your raw chin from all the scratching?stringtapper wrote:I have fallen headlong down the Eurorack/modular rabbit hole and I forgot to pack climbing gear.

Re: MacOS High Sierra 10.13 Beta
I've got way too much music software by different developers to upgrade this soon. It will probably be 6 months minimum before I even consider. Plus I can't really think of any new feature I'm itching to use.

Re: Proudly collecting music gear and software for no purpose
Got my Komplete Kontrol 61s mk2 earlier this week, almost 2 weeks before the official release. :) But I'm a little :x at NI at the moment. The software to run it won't be available until the official release date, Oct 5th. But that's not what I'm :x about. I've been going back and forth with email s...

Re: Proudly collecting music gear and software for no purpose
I have been creating NKS packages for years to support VSTs that will probably never see NKS compatibility. I have spoken with a few VST developers that have been quite helpful and they don't like NKS or the work involved in it. There are huge amounts of work to create NKS files and maintain this f...

Re: Native Instruments just brought the heat (new hardware)
Apart from Kore, what examples are there that this will be dead weight any time soon??? I don't know about dead weight, but my trust for Native Instruments hardware is gone though I'd love to be lured back with quality products and a good track record. Native Instruments abandon older OSes prematur...

Re: Native Instruments just brought the heat (new hardware)
they will abandon it in a few years surely for some odd reason. 2009 called and wants thier grudge back. Prediction: It will happen again and again despite any snide remarks, because that's how NI makes business. That's how most computer based companies do business. At some point they stop supporti...

Preordered the 61S. I've always wanted the screens and functionality of Maschine Studio in a keyboard and nice auto DAW mapping as well. Also like that it plays demo beats and melodies as you are browsing presets.

Re: Proudly collecting music gear and software for no purpose
Also a big gap is Serum, arguably the top soft synth out right now, and it sounds like the developer has zero interest in creating a nks file working with NI on this. Hmm... I wonder why... :P http://www.pluginboutique.com/product/1-Instruments/58-Inst-Bundle/3794-Serum-VIP-Bundle? http://s1.plugin...

Re: Proudly collecting music gear and software for no purpose
I’m trying really hard to hold out on the new Maschine v3, NI did a really nice job with that a well. I have Mashine Studio. Looks like the same thing pretty much with a smaller footprint. Honestly I've always just wanted the screens and functionality of Mashine Studio on a keyboard. Don't really n...

Re: Proudly collecting music gear and software for no purpose
Pulled the trigger on a Komplete Kontrol 61 mk2 pre-order. https://www.pmtonline.co.uk/yoma_press/wp-content/uploads/2017/09/kks.jpg Looks like they nailed it with all the screen goodness and controls of the Maschine Studio plus single button DAW control integration with Live and Logic. Also it play...
