But also: Program 4 of the top row buttons (as a cross shape) for Up, Down, Left & Right cursor keys in Mackie so that I can use them to navigate the grid. This will allow me to view any clip's waveform without having to fire it. ... Thanks Kr. I was looking at trying to do the same thing and c...

I tried an Edirol FA 66 which gave me nothing but noise and traded it in for a Focusrite Saffire LE. The Saffire LE works fine for me in exactly the same circumstances as I tried the Edirol. It is less compact, but that has yet to be a problem. I'd heavily recommend against the Saffire. The DSP stuf...

My wish: Something in between control version and non control: The small triangles (browser, mixer, arrange, stop buttons, clip play triangles in session) should get the colored edges, (much better to see!) but not the other parts (doesnt look cool, kind of too much and isn't needed for visibility ...

So please post whether or not you're coming (if you haven't already).

Well done with the black skins.

But I think perhaps the clips should have black letters instead of white or that the clip colours should be a little darker. Maybe it's just me, but the contrast betweeen the letters and the clip colours doesn't seem enough.

I have secured a venue for the next (and future) ' Live London ' meeting(s). No strings (i.e. money) as long as we don't cause the landlord any hassle. Yes, landlord - downstairs (separate room) at the Putney Walkabout bar/pub (opposite Putney cinema just over the bridge). There is a large room we c...

BE PATIENT PEOPLE... THE ABES ARE WORKING HARD ON SIX... That's what Stefan Franke told me when met him by chance (well, he complimented me on my T Shirt) on a recent trip to Berlin (he also agreed with the 3rd quarter of 2006 release estimate). Another coincidence was that I was staying on Shöneha...

Is there a way to change the channel of the buttons &/ PUSH functions of encoders, as they only display a hyphen '-' as their MIDI channel? I've worked out the problem. In the sysex preset files from Andreas/ The Covert Operators site (thanks Machinate), the MIDI channel of the buttons and enco...

I just started at channel 16 cc#0 and filled up presets. Once I used all the CC#s on channel 16 for presets 1 and 2 I copied those presets over so I only had to change the channel, not the channel and the cc#. I hope that makes sense. But Machinete's already done the work for you. I did the same th...

Oh yeah, I can't believe I spaced this. My friend, Bobby Read, plays sax with Bruce Hornsby's band. He uses an electronic wind instrument to play vsts inside Live 5 on stage, and also plays his saxes through Live for the effects (delays, verbs, etc) and to loop parts in Live. He's got a cool custom...
