This is a great option for screen recording and it's free.
Looks really good, so i can simply capture the A/V and upload the rendered video to youtube?

Re: What do you use for creating videos for promo?

Spout isn't really an export option, it just allows you to send your video into another application... I simply use screen capture software to capture the visuals... Cheers D Do you need to do anything to configure spout or does it just need to be installed? Which screen cap program do you use? Any...

What do you use for creating videos for promo?

I use FL Studio for zgame editor which is nice but i hate editing automation in it. I've looked around for something similar for Live, i recently bought Geosynth which i cool but i need Spout to export and i couldn't really follow the set-up from the tutorial video i watched. Btw in case anyone isn'...

Re: Looking for tips on processing vocals in for Tech House

I listened to the track. The vocal effect you're trying to create can be done with crossfade looping and an amp envelope in a sampler followed with a ton of reverb. No need for stretching. Just play around with the loop start/end point positions of a sustained vocal note in the sampler. Nice one! :...

Re: Looking for tips on processing vocals in for Tech House

What made you want the G8 over the native Live gate? I have never done anything with stretching... that would be interesting to know how that's done. I heard one singer process her vocals through NI's Guitar Rig, and surprisingly, there were some interesting sounds. It was 19 bucks and it's got som...

Re: Gain staging advice?

Why not just turn up the monitors if it's too quiet with the dynamic range you want? +1, i calibrated my monitors using an SPL meter a while back using the K-Meter system. I don't use K-Metering but i know what i'm hearing is at it's true output using a reference level of 83db. SOS to the rescue! h...

Re: Looking for tips on processing vocals in for Tech House

Cheers, i'll check out cut-o-matic. I picked G8 recently which is really nice but it's the stretching i'm mainly referring to, any time i start messing with vocals of different tempos and warping etc the original quality of the vocal degrades too much but in tracks like this it sounds really clean a...

Re: Looking for tips on processing vocals in for Tech House

I always use pro for vocals, i read tones is good but haven't tried it yet. I'll try some stuff out with Live. I've been listening to a lot of this stuff recently and am constantly impressed by the vocal sound design, no matter how much they warp and twist the vocal always sounds pristine but when i...

Looking for tips on processing vocals in for Tech House

Posted on Kvr but i thought i'd ask here for peeps more experienced with Live. :) More of a general question but i'm using Live trying to create vocal effects like in the video out of one phrase: https://youtu.be/N6wixRvyjiA?t=80 In the video the same vocal is used (i think) to create several differ...

Re: Issues with the browser when previewing clips and loading.

Just a heads up but it was the beta, someone else was having similar issues. Seems like the update introduced it but i was having issues with 9.6 which forced me to use the beta but Win 8 compatibility mode seems to have fixed it. :)

Re: Issues with the browser when previewing clips and loading.

@Tarekith i can understand with track clips but why does the browser become unresponsive if i add or delete letters? @fishmonkey 850 evo, can't see an update for it but i was aware of the 840 issue... I'll email support to see if they can give any insights on how to speed up things with the browser....

Re: Issues with the browser when previewing clips and loading.

I always try to run as much as possible on the SSD, best to take advantage that speed where ever you can IMO. What kind of tracks are you dragging into Live, wavs or MP3/FLACs? Ah i thought you were referring to audio. It's neither, i'm loading tracks from existing projects with plugins etc but eve...

Re: Issues with the browser when previewing clips and loading.

It was at 2gb, what would be a good size, 4gb? Also is it best placed on the SSD drive? I could place it on a drive partition but it's SATA. Another quick question, i placed the user library on the SSD; would i see an improvement if i placed on the 7,200 rpm SATA drive and the move the decode cache ...
