I think the closest you can get to 'looping' an unwarped clip is to use Follow Actions. But you're playing with fire. Just use some samples from CDs. You ll be sounding like skrillex and deamau5 in no time.

Logic is a pain in the ass to use. So many confusing way to handle things. It's also bloated, involve lots more micro management and more click with mouse. You are overthinking it. You shouldn't actually cut too much. Leave the instrument some room.
