Clean up project

Hey Guyyyyzzzz. Cleaning the hard drive, need to make space. I've got some projects where I recorded tons of audio, but at the end only used a little bit of them. But the project is still super heavy. I want to get rid of the useless audio takes. So far what I find the easiest way to do : "save...

Re: Best warp mode to keep sound quality in live 8 and 9

if you are playing back the loop at the exact same tempo it was recorded at then use Beats mode, this is the recommended way to avoid artefacts. I would recommend using the setting such as 16ths, or 8ths, rather than transients. With beats mode, when clip tempo and main tempo are the same it doesn'...

Re: Best warp mode to keep sound quality in live 8 and 9

I think the closest you can get to 'looping' an unwarped clip is to use Follow Actions. But you're playing with fire. If you should happen to trigger that clip in the wrong bpm, you'll get some fun interruptions at the end of your 'loop' ;) Also, a tip for the whole, warped but unaffected matter, i...

Re: Best warp mode to keep sound quality in live 8 and 9

That is smart angstrom. So I just tried out something : I have a group with 4 channels , all are samples loops from maschine. Unwarped, just duplicated over 1 minute. On the other group, I have the same exact set up, only this one is directly fed by maschine VST (audio from maschine output 2/3/4/5) ...

Re: Best warp mode to keep sound quality in live 8 and 9

I think it's too bad that we can't loop an unwarped sample, like we can in more traditional sequencers.

Best warp mode to keep sound quality in live 8 and 9

Hello. So far, when I have a sample loop from maschine, I either record the whole sample loop for 3 minutes. And I don't warp it. That ensure me the best audio quality, "as it is in maschine". However, that uses a lots of hard drive space for no reason. I could save some by simply export o...

Re: logic vs ableton

Logic is a pain in the ass to use. So many confusing way to handle things. It's also bloated, involve lots more micro management and more click with mouse. It's like comparing the gameplay of far cry 3 and far cry 2 (it's getting very technical here I know). Both are good but ableton is a joy to use...

You are overthinking it. You shouldn't actually cut too much. Leave the instrument some room.

Re: Live 8 project opening in Live 9 without Live 8 library.

Hi, before install Live 9, I would like to completely uninstall Live 8 and its library. I don't want 12 Go using my hard drive space knowing I will never use it again. How can I make sure my previous project will work with Live 9 ? Cheers It's a long way. Do not delete your Live 8 Library. Move it ...
