did you see the youtube vid shot in his studio? i think there is more to his sound then the tape machine. to put it short I think a budget tapemachine will not give your music that "warm sound" or that "big bottom"... the best thing a cheap reel to reel will give you is some dirt...

So has anyone used the latest version of the EOS o/s? What about the time stretching and beat Munging functions. I'm really trying to move away from computers as much as possible, so I'm hoping to utilize the sequencer as much as possible. As I think I mentioned of I've not used a HW sampler so i'm...

Re: Harware Samplers - anyone still rock them?

I'm thinking about getting an EMU - e4xtultra> I heard my friends Emu and it sounded amazing - the filters were incredible. Does anyone else still hardware samplers anymore? The emu is sort of a hybrid synth/sampler/sequencer. I'm amazed at how cheap they are- this was an $6000 sampler 8 years ago ...

it's simple the mpd 32 has 8 midi cc buttons the 24 none. the standart ableton midi device template requieres the buttons to switch through the knob banks.
my advide: if you want full live integration sell your mpd 24 as long as someone will buy it!
