Re: Support for Polyphonic Aftertouch
@Angstrom: It’s just that all you do is speculate and what is more - you are stretching the facts to fit the frame of a picture you are painting. * Almost all their competitors support (poly)aftertouch for years - it’s nothing new. It’s decades old concept btw. * MPE is hot shit for couple years now...

Re: New Macbook (april 2016) worth any?
Of course it will work just fine. Only super heavy plugins will make it sweat. I had 2011 MacBook Air and moved on to maxed out MacBook Pro this year and I was able to lower the buffer to 128 from 256 but that's about it. I did have some crackling before for some CPU intensive plugins but that was r...

Re: Support for Polyphonic Aftertouch
Better to give up hope and move on to other DAW. Seriously, this thread was first started in 2007 and since then Ableton said literarily NOTHING to give us any hope. If you guys would like to wait for Live to catch up before buying aftertouch enabled device (not to mention a new breed of controllers...

Re: Support for Polyphonic Aftertouch
Seaboard RISE owner here, disappointed one. I had to buy Bitwig to let me record and edit it in a sane way - it's slowly growing on me, but after investing so much time in Live - I would prefer to not have to do that.

Re: Everything in live is too tiny and hard to click on.
I have eagle-sharp sight, but I agree. One can notice how websites changed in the last decade - everything got so much bigger (from tiny to actually user friendly).

Re: Push workflow -for making music (not performing)
I actually learned Push prior to learning Live… To be precise: I first got a grasp of Live functionality in general (basic functions), but quickly after I did a quite comprehensive course of Push (AskVideo series + reading of manual) and so this is how I use Live. Only when Push simply couldn't do s...

Re: Push, for one handed user
There's quite a lot of things one would miss... Those that would bother me personally: deleting or re-enabling automation, selecting sound in a rack for adjusting (without triggering that sound), selecting all given notes in step sequencers, mod/pitch wheel and some more. These doesn't seem to be de...

Re: Quiet but good fidelity monitors
Just go to sweetwater or thomann and narrow your search to your price criteria and woofer diameter (3-5" - not sure how small you need them) - you will be left with only a handful of models (not many for this price range), so it will be easy and quick to compare them functionally, read some rev...

http://www.conrad-electronic.co.uk/ce/en/product/972434/Conrad-4-Port-USB-20-Hub-magnetic?queryFromSuggest=true I own that guy and it's great. I had problems with previous ones, but this one is stable, full metal so super sturdy and is easy to attach permanently when you need it. It looks ugly on pi...

Re: Summing with track groups vs return tracks vs regular tracks
I am exploring those concepts on my own, did some reading etc. And I see quite clearly how I would use groups as opposed to sending to return tracks. I mean.. I could use return tracks for everything, but I see how groups make certain things a bit nicer to work with. And sending to regular tracks is...

Summing with track groups vs return tracks vs regular tracks
I see three basic ways of mixing multiple tracks into one: 1. Grouping tracks 2. Sending to return tracks 3. Outputting audio to regular audio tracks Return tracks seem to be most flexible, but groups are more visually obvious and easy to use. And option #3 may only be there for MIDI recording purpo...

Re: Ableton should have a dialogue with us - not just listen us
@Machinesworking, and while I agree with what you are saying - it is a double edged sword, but! Look at Bitwig at KVR - they are much more open then Ableton here and it works well for them - as far as I see. Basically companies tend to do their marketing differently these days and it's more pronounc...

Re: About playing Push as an instrument. Please listen Ableton.
Guys, I was a bit unfair before. I have bought subscription for macProVideo and they had some Push courses. Introductory one wasn't very exciting or revealing, but the one led by Jordan Rudess is just great (yeah I know what people think about him, but regardless…)! Not all of it is great, but speci...
