Re: Melodic Dubstep with sp-555 action

holy shite, this is quite good imo. I enjoyed that a lot, thanks for the download. As for the mixing, I am far from an expert on that, but I think the snare comes through a bit too much throughout. I like the sound of the snare, but it is the loudest sound in there, at least on my system. And if I m...

Re: explain ebay sniping to me, does it work?

even with sniping aside, you are assuming that everyone is putting in their MAX bid at that last second, maybe person A puts in a bid that is $30 over the current bid at the last second thinking they've got it locked, only to be outbid by the person who bid $40 at the last second instead.

Re: improvised modern classical

Very different...almost sounds like twelve-tone music to me. Such strong dissonance was never my thing, but I have to give you credit for creating a unified mood out of all that. Nice fluttery space sounds in there too...

Re: Little track I never finished. UNTILL NOW

I really like where this starts off, and I think the peak is quite snazzy. I do, however, think that the arrangement could be tweaked a little. It seems to have a slight lack of direction imo...then again i do get lost easily.

Overall nice work though, again I enjoy your stuff.

First Soundtrack with EIC-Requiem

So this is my somber-ish soundtrack type track made using 100% Ableton. http://www.soundclick.com/util/getplayer.m3u?id=7853053&q=hi note-link takes you straight to the player, take off your pop up blocker if you got one. promise this won't kill you. You can also access the song from my soundcli...

Re: Finishing tracks: Some tips to improve your song production

Excellent post, I added this to my favorites immediately. Even though it doesnt 100% pertain to everyone's style, it is a great start to working through the process, and as someone stated before, just seeing this all layed out in writing is helpful in itself.

Thank you

lm, what tiny speck of e-judgement I had about you from random posts/tracks and things, is now shifted.

Sometimes you forget that the people behind the little black names on the top left of posts actually have living, breathing thoughts....

Re: ableton iphone app

is there one yet? So, when you ask "is there an Ableton iPhone app?", what would people be wanting it to do exactly? I'm tinkering in XCode and iPhone development at the moment, and trying to think of some fun projects to try. If you put a little keyboard set up in there (like the piano a...

Re: ableton iphone app

Beatmaker has kept me entertained on many a long plane/car rides. It is a very impressive app imo and you can do a lot of cool things on it. My only real bad thing to say about it is that it needs a keyboard/synth section. The drum pad is a blast but its hard (for me) to write melodies just with a s...

Re: Your most favoritest sound in your library

Beat-boxing through the vocoder seems to be my unnoficial fave right now. I'll look up at the clock and realize thirty minutes have gone by. "Ooops, i guess i better start a song now."

Get some sweet phaser/strings background in there...whew.

Dub Step- Preciate some feed

Dub Step ish type track, I would love to hear what you guys think. I think the mixdown and arrangement could be tweaked a tad, and I would like to add some more spice to the drumline, maybe some glitchy type stuff, but its in prog. Thanks Track is titled "Liquid Murder" http://www.soundcli...
