have reinstalled Logic 7.1 as well now, but no fix.

The exact same setup works fine on my laptop G4, so it can't be a bug.

Reproduce the Bug: Take a track and with the pen cursor, set the volume at 16th notes (Grid at 16th )up and down alternating. Move the Grid setting just from the zoom in-out or anything affecting the resolution of the grid... Voilà!...your 16th notesautomation setting have been jumbled into whatever...

If you're on os9mac, then you haven't assigned enough memory to the app (get info>memory...) otherwise, No idea.

Logic 642 won't record midi tracks from the TOP when Live401 is in rewire...

It will however work from starts in subsequent starting points...
for now a cool workaround.
