cheers for the link geezus, i am checking out the docs and hopefully all will become clear soon! by custom automap, do you mean regular midi cc control maps? as i'm sure multiple pages were already possible with automap universal where i used a similar approach to spanning certain controls across pa...

Re: Remote SL 2.0 finally Released.
Not sure if this is old news but it was a surprise to me. It seems to be the same version number as the last beta. Make sure you update your SL OS (firmware). But anyways it's out & is working well for me..
did you also have to overwrite all your templates...

Anyone know where the manual is for automap 2. I can't find it and can't seem to work out how to use it properly. I was curious by that as well---perhaps they're still working on a final release of that as well? Oh well, anyway, you can find the beta guide here on the, er, uh, beta page :D : http:/...

first impressions are not good unfortunately. installed the thing and can't find any documentation anywhere. the interface has some hyperlinks to the novation website, and those links which aren't broken don't seem to contain any v2.0 info yet. i really don't see the point in hui - there were alread...

first couple of tracks with live 7

so, i've finally finished a few tracks in live. i'd really appreciate any feedback - good or bad.

other than the predator and albino synths, the 2007 & 2008 tracks are done 100% in live. there are also some older tracks made with logic.

hoi cids, yes you can just install the remote sl software which is freely downloadable from novation's site. it works fine without the hardware connected.

i was getting this at first, but haven't seen it for a while since disabling any unnecessary inputs/output in live, and turning off all the usb>midi through in the hardware. still having some issues with AU instruments, and automap-follows-focus doesn't work with VST's but I'm really hoping Automap ...

thanks for that tricil. though actually my vst's seem to be organised like that automatically and i didn't move any files: automapped plugs are in the User folder and all the regular versions are in the Local folder which I just keep collapsed. by the way, the "automap follows focus" does ...

Re: Remote 37SL fader movement/resistance

all 8 faders on my sl37 feel the same, but it's only a week old so maybe it's just a matter of time.

i do have the annoying problem that some of the smaller buttons (scene up/down/fire) get stuck down and i almost have to pick the rubber out of the faceplate with my fingernail to get them out again.

seems to use the songbird player from firefox which i thought looked quite promising as an itunes alternative.

as far as i know this is only possible with macros, but then you're limited to eight controls at a time.
