It's working well now. All the problems are resolved. Think it was due to an OS update that didn't take well. I restarted the computer and Live's working excellently.

I don't know why focusrite doesn't employ some competent technical authors, because that 'user guide' is beyond me. Just as well they have some usable presets.

What does the linked/unlinked switch in the envelope section of the clip view do?
It doesn't make any difference to my clips whether the envelopes are linked or unlinked.
