Re: Ableton 9.1 Dual Monitor Support + more

Angstrom, I did not like smart snap too much at the beginning. I was for an option, I had to change my workflow completely because of it. But I can say I have adapted and I'm as fast as before. I have found workarounds for all my problems. When I want the note to snap to the grid I just move the not...

Re: Ableton 9.1 Dual Monitor Support + more

Yes, it's clearly visible on this image http://createdigitalmusic.com/files/2013/09/dualmonitor_arrangement_2b.jpg I'd embed it, but it's quite a large pic I did know this picture and you're right, one will be able to see the devices from a specific track on one view and the midi on the other. I di...

Re: Ableton 9.1 Dual Monitor Support + more

Angstrom are you sure that you can see the midi editor and the devices at the same time? I would love that too, but I have no evidence that this will be possible - or in other words that it will be possible to have just the midi editor on the second screen. It may really be session view on one scree...

Re: Update LIVE 9 for RETINA !!!

Wrong unfortunately. It makes the mouse pointer tiny and almost impossible to move. wow didn't know that, but it makes the mouse pointer only tiny in live, right? I don't have a rMBP, but when I tested one I thought that the scaled 1680x1050 resolution would be my choice anyway due to the more work...

Re: Update LIVE 9 for RETINA !!!

why don*t you guys just use a scaled 1680x1050 resolution (it may just be me but 1400x900 on a 15" screen not enough space for me anyway)? afaik the scaled resolution behaves like a native one for programs. or em I wrong?

Re: Easy way to record for a preset number of bars?

I'm making drum loops and I want to record for, say, 4 bars, and then have it loop.
there is a max4live patch for that in the max4live library, but I don't remember the name...

Re: Browser: user added content should be in CATEGORIES too

Thanks for your reply chrk, I know that...that's what I wrote :-) As I wrote, the problem with "all results" is that you get all kind of content (that means also presets with the name you search) and you only get this "all result" list when you search for a specific string/word. ...

Re: Browser: user added content should be in CATEGORIES too

just a picture for better understanding... Why is this important? - One example... I have a big drum library with lots of folders. When I preview my samples I like to step though a list. Under the "CATEGORIES" "Samples" all audio samples are in one long list, that's exactly what ...

Re: Ableton Online Studio

I hope never. crippled, slow, useless pieces of browser-based software, wasting developer resources at a company that could better invest on fixing the actual desktop app and add new features, imho. I agree 100%, that's why I also hope never. web technology is cool for many tasks, but it's just wro...

Re: Does Turbo boost on CPUs actually help with REAL-TIME audio?

The lowest possible latency is afaik more related to the hardware archetecture from your computer and drivers. There are really big differeances how firewire is integrated, which chipset is used and on which hardare lane it is attached to. Maybe it could allready be a solution to use an RME usb inte...

Re: Mouse wheel not working, Ableton Live 9, even for wired mous

@mads: I never had a problem with the wheel for scrolling.

win7 64, but I have installed the IntelliPoint software. That said, it seems to work perfect in windows even without the driver ( I tested my laptop with the mouse).

Maybe it's the problem is something different, EricBuist?
