yeah that was the other obvious option, just wanted to have the least amount of tracks possible

yeah i tried that and thought it was working, i had the randomize midi plugin going and i thought it was ok, but on about 1 pass out of 10 whilst looping this clip the kick hit was random

maybe i need to go back and recheck my settings

I wanted to try and create some more variation in my drum loops I use battery 3 and create a midi clip in which i write the note pattern for all my drum hits, kicks included I noticed that if i place a "random", "velocity" or "pitch" midi-plugin on the drum track, ill get those effects, but sometime...

I had to change Abletons output from 1/2 to 11/12 in order to get any sound, try checking that out in the preferences->audio->output config

anybody know how to get XP to know that the Ultralite is your main audio device in the sound settings??
Mine just says MOTU Main Outs, but the main volume controls and stuff are greyed out so i cant use the volume controller on my pc keyboard to turn the sound up and down....
