Re: Using locators in arrangement view
This is why the invented the Session view! Cut your song up at the locators > select all in the arrangement view > paste it in the Session view. Your song is now the same as in the arrangement view, but only vertically aligned. You can now midi-map your different scenes and trigger the part with you...

Re: Logic techniques questions
Route it to a bus as said before. In Live it's much faster and simpler than in Logic. This is typically one of those reasons why I always start my songs in Live... It's much easier to keep the creative juices flowing in Live! Because after you recorded your sounds, you usually want to cut and paste ...

Re: Synths that allow user waveforms?
If you can get by with just sampler and or simpler but you don't like the filters (which are boring indeed), I suggest you rather spend your money on some cool filter plugins instead of looking for another synth. You could stop being a pussy and just get Alchemy..its not that complicated and camel a...

Re: OH NO Not the Dreaded "Which Monitors" Question again!!
I own KRK's. They sound good, all round for the price you pay imo.
But I will never buy them again ever and will also never recommend them to anyone anymore, because there customer service sucks (as in they don't help you at all)!
So if you care for customer service: Do NOT buy KRK's!

Re: NI Komplete 8 is coming!
... NI Komplete 8 is coming this September! Surprise, surprise... I don't own Komplete yet and I do have to say that it's actually very tempting to take the plunge now, since the products I am interested in from that bundle all get an upgrade! But I'm still afraid that I won't be even using 10% of a...

Re: How To Do Spectral Morphing
Thanks for this summary...
Sonivox Twist looks interesting indeed. The sounds are nice but nothing spectacular in my opinion. Also it does seem a bit overpriced when I look at it's possibilities in comparison to for instance Alchemy. But if they release a demo, I will surely check it out.

Re: How To Do Spectral Morphing
Glad to hear you found what you were looking for! Maybe I should also have a better look into Kontakt! But there are so many cool synths and samplers out there
If you get the chance please upload the sound you now created... Obviously we're all curious what you made in the end

Re: How To Do Spectral Morphing
I read in an article a while ago that Amon Tobin is a big fan of Kontakt. In the latest version of Kontakt (which came out already before Isam) there is a very cool feature called Authentic Expression Technology (AET), and this might be something he's abusing this to morph his sounds... http://www.y...

Re: Save several VST instruments as ONE ableton preset???
Just drag the group you just created into your instruments library and save it as an instrument rack and give it some cool name. Next time you open a new session and you need this combined synth, just double click it or drag it onto an empty miditrack... If you want it every time you start a new pro...

Re: Oh For the love of god! Nooooooo!
They'll be making a Wobble plug-in in a year or so if this trend continues... 8O I was thinking exactly the same... First "Stutter Edit" and now "The T-Pain Effect"... Can't wait till they come with "The Skrillex Screamer" or "The Wobble W@nker"! But we proba...

... Stop learning it then!
I don't remember anybody here on this forum telling you to start learning music theory in the first place.

Re: tips on how to do advanced wobble bass techniques?
heh, apparently I was grumpy earlier, I just started getting into resampling for dnb bass sounds, so I've been inundating myself with threads. Heres a couple to get you started: http://www.dubstepforum.com/for-those-who-want-to-get-into-resampling-t110916.html?hilit=resampling http://durkkooistra.c...

Re: tips on how to do advanced wobble bass techniques?
Yesterday I had some friends listening to a remix I am working on and they said that the bass was missing some energy.
I think this thread is exactly addressing my problem. I can't wait to go home and try out some of these techniques mentioned here.
Thanks for the input guys!!!
