Whatever !
I agree, Ableton probably isnt the place for this kind of thing. I was just annoyed at that email.
But, If anyone wishes to discuss this further (unlikely), PM me.

VST FX Units
Anyone care to recommend some decent FX plug ins. I'd like to get the Pioneer EFX-1000 but the price and possible latency problems are a bit of a turn off. I've had a search and found a few but nothing that great. I'm more or less after the kind of FX that the Pioneer units produce like Flanger, Pha...

you'll hate me for this, i recommend that no DJs use flangers EVERRRRRR. flangers on a dj mix sounds good to about 15% of the people listening, the other 85% cringe. So you've personally interviewed every clubber in the world and 85% of them told you they hate flanging ? Wow, thats some going

Increasing the BPM of a track.
Does this do it as a record deck would or does it time stretch it without changing the pitch ?
Also, can you adjust the pitch of audio tracks as I can only seem to get it to work for MIDI ?

Laptop Stands
I was wondering if anyone knew of a place that sells stands for Laptops for live performances. I'd need to be able to get a Laptop on it, a MIDI Controller and an FX unit ?

Think about it though, you'd be using a desktop processor but without the massive heatsink and fan to cool it. Not surprised they get hot, I know desktop P4's that idle at over 50C and thats with decent cooling.tomperson wrote:Thanks for the tip on the P4 heat problem, I wasn't aware of that!4am wrote:
