It seems to me that the Bass boost on EQ 4 is better than 3 and the Bass kill on EQ 3 is better than 4.

Surely a combination of the 2, complete with properly centred dials, would be more appropriate.

The UC-33 MIDI Controller allows you to mute the MIDI signal so you can move the knobs without sending any signal. Set your knob to 12 o'clock then just turn the mute off.

I too DJ with live and all my tracks are pre warped with the levels all the set at the same loudness during the most frantic part of the track.

In can then load up any 2 tracks and they'll be approximately the same loudness.
