You might want to check a Les Paul forum. I can't remember the one I have used at the moment. It sounds to me more of an amp issue than a guitar thing. Both are crucial in getting a good tone. There are tone geeks that would pay $$$ for vintage LP wiring.

I setup a friends inspire for him and I wasn't impressed. The outs are two phono jacks (unbalanced) and a stereo mini phone jack (unbalanced). The Firebox is worth comming up with the extra $ for real controls (the inspire is controlled by your computer) and good outs and ins (balanced).

Selection of free VSTi synths

An interesting selection of free VSTi synths. I liked some of these.

Waiting for the new releases.

I use a POD Pro (studio outs) into my Presonus Firebod using the XLR ins. Sweet setup IMO.

I have a similar question posted regarding the use of live 6 with DFH superior. I have noted after using the system CPU monitor that only 1 processor is being used until it is saturated and that the CPU meter can read (so far up to 140%) because it was running 1 at 90+% and the other at 50% (approx)...

CPU use for DFH Superior

Can anyone tell me what a full DFH Superior kit running a heavy drum midi track CPU load is (with system cpu type)? I've been playing around with a project that is a 96k audio and it at times saturates my cpu loading. I have a Core 2 Duo and should be ripping with Live 6.

Playing guitar live you need a backup guitar and amp, particularly if you're playing a big money gig. Why not have 2 comps with identical loads on them? Then if one bites it you can switch to another in short order. A new Laptop (or whatever) is about the same price as a nice guitar.

Oh, figured it out. The DFH Korg edition is 44.1 khz and I was set at 96K in Live Preferences. Switched it and it works fine. That brings me to a whole slew of questions about the compatability of clips that are of different sample rate. Does the project have to be of the lowest rate of the sampled ...

DFH Korg edition problems

I've been having problems with the DFH superior Korg edition software that came with my padKontrol. Basically I am getting audio distortion and pops from my output in Live 6. I've been through the tutorial and understand the whole thing about multiple audio outs from a midi track. This happens wheth...

I use live as a DAW for guitar and keyboards. I have a Fender Strat and Gibson ES-333 (same pickups as the LP). I also play a Schecter Classic with Seymour Duncan PUs. The Strat is the lightest most confortable guitar to play. The Schecter has the best feel and overall versatility but the Gibson has...
