I like how the second skin looks like the Roland SH-201. Think I'm gonna be switching between this and the JP-8000 skin fairly often.

Leopard, in general, runs noticeably smoother on 10.5.5 for me in comparison to 10.5.2

I, too, go with Effectrix. The quality of the fx are loads better, but it's really the overall ease of use of Effectrix that won me over. Major Malfunction never seemed to work quite right and always took a bit of time to get programmed correctly. Effectrix feels a lot more like Glitch and just work...

As long as you have either Pro Tools LE 7.4.2 or at least the 7.4.2 version of the standalone Core Audio drivers. Live 6.0.10 should be ok on Leopard.

I think it's a great synth. I consider it a must-have. It's not the be all, end all of synths, but it comes pretty close to it and goes well with all of the other irreplaceable synths. You can only have one instance of the plug-in at any given time, but you have full control over the entire synth. Y...

I know a lot of you guys hate on Battery, but it still does everything that I need it to. I toyed around with RM IV and didn't really get the hang of it. It wasn't until recently though, that I got around to really messing around with the Drum Rack and realized how powerful it really was. Granted, I...

A friend of mine told me he was creating all his radio show sets in Live v4.1.4. Jesus, that was what... like 4 years ago? Anywho, even though I'm still a Cubase user, I'm still a huge fan of Live. It's really the only choice if you want to do any kind of "live", non-DJ set.

It really doesn't matter. Personally, I find it easier not have VST's in a custom folder. It's a personal preference, as others may find it better for them to use a custom folder.

Yeah, this was pretty disappointing to see/hear at AES. I asked the rep for a demo of DNA and he said that it basically wasn't working at the time so there was no demo/preview of it. Oh well...

Haven't used the 610 yet, but I've read a lot of really good reviews about it... primarily about it being a huge step up from other M-audio interfaces. A few reviews A/B'd it with RME interfaces and said there were no noticable differences in sound quality. I would look more into the 610 and other i...

Yeah, for the TDM hardware, only 8 i/o's are accessible through Core Audio. But for all of the LE interfaces, all of their i/o's are accessible. (Kinda backwards don't ya think?) So if you have an 003, you should def be able to use all 18 i/o's.

I am not signing this because I don't own both the Powercore nor Virus Powercore, but I really do hope you guys get the support you're asking for (or demanding...). In these days, I can't imagine paying for software that doesn't work and then not being able to receive help from the manufacturer. I h...
