Re: Post your set up and your sexy cat...
The desk is really easy to work at, it's probably the most ergonomic setup I've ever had. I made the height of the MoPho and Maschine the same heigh as a typically piano. The laptop and Nanokontrol shelves are about 30" off the ground, about the same height as an average desk. The shelf with th...

Re: Post your set up and your sexy cat...
Here are some pics of my setup and new desk. My wife and I live in a studio in NYC and I had to come up with a solution where I had access to all of my gear but she didn't have to look at it all day. Why doesn't she think gear looks as cool as we do???? Here is my solution, I put all of the gear on ...

Re: padKontrol vs. MPD
I owned a PadKontrol and they are GREAT! The feel is amazing! It smoked my old MPC 2000XL and the Akai controller ones feel stinks. There is a fix for the feel by adding electrical tape under each pad, (I tried a friends akai that did the tape trick and it's still no where near as good as the PK). T...

Re: Buying my first synth help needed
Funny you should mention that, because I also have a Blofeld desktop synth. The Blofeld sounds huge and I'm not taking anything away from it there, but menu diving is not my thing. Especially being fairly new to synthesis, In one night I've gotten a lot more out of the MoPho then I have ever got out...

Re: Buying my first synth help needed
SOOOOO I got my first analog synth today. I opted for the Dave Smith MoPho Keyboard. Reasons for this 1. Price 2. Ease of use 3. size for gigs It really came down to the Little Phatty, Mono Evolver or the MoPho Keyboard. I feel like I made the right decision for various reasons. I almost bought a vi...

Re: Help Needed with External FX
THANKS This one works perfectly! Another option is to change the audio input from the send to Pre instead of Post (this option located on the Master channel) and then completely lower the volume on each track. I assigned a key on my laptop keypad to the volume of the audio track (When I hit the key ...

Help Needed with External FX
I'm working on a live set and have a question about using external FX. How do I send a tracks audio to and external effect (like a moogerfooger) so that I'm only hearing what's coming out of the pedal and not a mix of the dry audio and the effected audio? I want to set this up for every track, this ...

Re: Buying my first synth help needed
Ok Still looking around, Played with some synths this weekend. I have one more question, I know it's not an analog sytnh, but what does everyone think of the Nord Lead 2??? I thought it had a nice sound, but again this will be the first real synth I ever buy and I just want to be sure. At this momen...

Re: Buying my first synth help needed
Cool I'll look into it. Does anyone know if Guitar Center still sell the Mono Evolver? I'd love to go in there and try it out.

Re: Buying my first synth help needed
Hey guys - thank you so much for your input. Right now I'm looking at getting the Moog Little Phatty. It's Analog and monophonic (I'm fine with monophonic), and it also seems to pretty fairly easy to understand. It seems fairly upgradable with moogerfogers, and it also seems to hold it value on ebay...

Re: Wich the best Audio Interface?
I have the had the Motu Ultralight MK3 on a back book pro for about a year and a half. It's built like a tank, sound great and I've never had a problem with it crashing ableton. I hear the Duet is great and have though about changing to it but it can really be nice to have the outputs for live setup...
