Re: 3 native instruments synths vs 3 u-he synths
Can't wait for the Diva update with the Arp and Obie filter... sound demos I've heard are pretty cool.

Re: 3 native instruments synths vs 3 u-he synths
Komplete is not cheap... it is just a good value for the amount of stuff. Also, the best value for the dollar over time for me has been Zebra. I purchased at the initial v2 and it has had 2-3 paid updates worth of improvements without any additional cost. The average cost for an Absynth update for ...

Re: 3 native instruments synths vs 3 u-he synths
- which group of synths covers more ground in terms of types of synthesis? NI I disagree with that... Diva and zebra are two of my favorite synths. But 2 vintage VA emulations and zebra against Absynth, with all its synthesis methods, massive and FM8? Sorry I don't really think a case can be made t...

Re: 3 native instruments synths vs 3 u-he synths
But I still don't understand comparing these combinations. Those NI synths can be bought pretty cheap (especially in Komplete). The U-He ones don't lose much value. You'll pay much more for those U-He synths. I would judge each synth individually and mix and match. Komplete is not cheap... it is ju...

- taken together, which group of synths has a steeper learning curve? NI - which group is easier to learn sound design from the ground up on? Re: 3 native instruments synths vs 3 u-he synths
Oh, yeah. Razor. Or as I like to call it: The CPU burn-in test :) Btw, sometimes I run 4-5 instances of Razor (MacBook Pro 13", i5, 4GB), no problem ) Diva is the ultimate CPU destroyer ;) Not as bad as Monark. (comparing mono obviously because Monark is mono only) I don't understand why you'd...

Re: mac and ssd drives
I have put two different crucial SSDs (a 512gb and a newer 1TB M400) in two different macbook pros, both in the superdrive slot with optibay. Both have performed terribly. The first I tried to use as system drive, freezes all the time. The second I was only using as user drive, mainly samples, sampl...

Re: TAL-Bassline-101
2004 :) Tal makes good stuff. I'm interested. Is there a demo? It's not clear on their page. Yeah just find the download button, that's the demo. Their free 101 was good, but this takes it to a whole new level of authenticity. This I put up in the class of Diva. All the controls map by automation p...

Re: TAL-Bassline-101
Just an amazing synth, very accurate. Been wanting an accurate 101 for many years, this nails it and has a great arp/sequencer too.

Re: Why is my L....ATENCY so bad????
You still haven't said what your actual latency is. What is your audio buffer set to? What audio device are you using? These are the most important things affecting latency. Sample rate shouldn't make it bad. It often makes it better with higher sample rate (for internal processing) but takes more c...

Re: Arturia Minilab
Wait you're post is confusing. Are you talking about the VST or the hardware controls? It sounds like you are talking about the knobs on the device, but you kep saying the VST. When is it super slow? -When you are using the hardware knobs to control the MiniLab software parameters? -When you are us...
