Check your inputs on your ableton session. Make sure EXT is disabled on them. No questions.

Re: concept for running V10 and V11 in parallel?
Good question; and somehow I kind of expected it to come  Short answer is that I need to be able to exchange projects with someone else who's not (yet) running V11. Longer answer is that I usually don't really trust V x.0 software. I admit it: my real profession is IT-related, and my experien...

Re: concept for running V10 and V11 in parallel?
Curious. Why don't you just use Live 11?
I know it's not the answer you're looking for...but it would save you a lot of hassle.

Re: Spitfire String Quartet Release
I don’t think you can based upon the Spitfire products I own. Spitfire’s emulations are spot on - so their instrument ADSRs follow the real-life instruments envelopes. Are you using the expression controls? Those are key when using spitfire products. Essentially you use your controller to alter volu...

Re: sampling just parts of long audio
There's probably several ways you can do it in Live. Here's how I would do it: - Put your long audio file on one track. On another track, drag an empty Drum Rack. - Go to your audio track and start highlight and slicing (cmd/ctrl E) the bits you want. - Then, drag a slice into a cell on the Drum Rac...

What keyboard do you have, mate? Does the VST play with the keyboard outside of Live?

Re: Normalizing Clips volume
Like Jur said, ears are the way to go. You can gain stage the individual clips, and use your ears to check they match, mate.

Re: Normalizing Clips volume
Adjust the gain of the clips so they match?
Maybe use a compressor or limiter? Use volume or gain automation?
Is that what you’re after?

Re: Live 11 - Mysterious Feedback
You know, when I unplug one of my monitors from the hub, the intensity of the interference is greatly reduced. I thought I was going crazy - it makes a big difference. What in the world!?
I'll see if there is a sweetspot for settings - thanks man!

Re: Live 11 - Mysterious Feedback
Thank you so much, everyone. I tried headphones as suggested - beautifully silent. I don't think this is an L11 issue, but L11 does react strangely to it. I think the issue is speaker interference. I have so many cables in a mess, I think my Yamahas are picking up all sorts of electrical rubbish tha...

Re: Live 11 - Mysterious Feedback
Bwah ha ha! New audio engine! It’s so darn bizarre - I just can’t figure this out. Yeah, feedback is the wrong word. Definitely sounds like interference. It’s almost like a hard drive interfering. I only hear the sound through the speakers - there’s no actual audio coming out of the software or inte...

Live 11 - Mysterious Feedback
Hey all, Here's an odd one, and I can't figure it out. Issue : I get a mysterious feedback-like sound through my speakers when using Live 11 Facts: [*]Feedback sound: sounds like that weird sound you get when a cell phone interferes with speakers. Always present when using Live 11 (beta latest versi...

Re: Novation SL mk3 - VST mappings
Yeah, I think there are pros and cons to both, mate. The NI stuff is great for browsing though those NI presets, but I'm not sure if it works with non-NI instruments - maybe someone here can help. The Novation board is great for midi/device control, but not the preset thing. I will tell you, I nearl...
