Re: How does Dr Dre find his samples?
Dre probably already had a pretty substantial record collection by the time he started getting famous, so that helps - many rap producers start out digging for themselves, and Dre probably has his own network of guys that look for records - most producers do these days. try AC ground lifting one of the devices connected - i would start with the SPL, try one device at a time. try also AC ground lifting everything on your strip or wherever all your power meets just to see at first, then work your way around each connected device. it's definitely a ground loop. easily...

Re: gregory issacs R.I.P

Re: gregory issacs R.I.P
i never saw the Swing-A-Ling mobile that i can remember, but then he wouldn't have any reason to dally up to Billy Dunn or Liguanea or any of the uptown environs. i'm sure my mom would have run out to the van with money in hand, though - to the dismay of our neighbors! unfortunately, Charlie Ace is ...

yes, the Cool Ruler has passed away, but he had been quite sick for a while - i don't even think he was 60 yet, pretty much the same situation that Sugar Minott was in when he died in July.
but, both of these guys lived it up pretty hard for a while when they were younger.
