proper editing in audio clip view
Imagine being able to edit in the audio clip view. Including adding time to the front or back of the clip to make a longer loop. Or being able to cut and re-arrange audio right in the clip view. I'm sure this has been suggested before.

Re: What's your favorite FM "In the Studio With..." video?
Some of these videos are very enjoyable. I've been wanting to watch the Four Tet one but I can't find the issue to buy anywhere to get access to the video.

Re: Logic Pro 9 for $199. Futher pressure to lower prices?
Concerning upgrade prices... Previously the upgrade price to Logic was $200. With the app store release there is no telling what they will do as far as pricing for upgrades. It could be anything from $0-$200. But at most it would be the same upgrade price as the old pricing structure. I've very curi...

ways to organize your sounds/files
I'm not the most organized, but I want to get better. I thought I'd ask for creative ways of how folks keep their sounds and audio files, whether they be samples, loops, instrument settings etc... I mainly have these different types of files I'm talking about. loops one hits self made samples preset...

Re: 32bit vs 24bit
As far as I know there are no interfaces capable of recording 32bit audio... I don't believe Ableton, or any other software can record 32bit audio.

Re: Electric Guitar sound in Ableton
doing exactly what you are doing is a GREAT way to improve your skills. I don't know "Fireflies" very well, but if you are doing a sound-a-like it's always best to use a guitar for guitar parts. The alternative is to use samples which work fine for a lot of instruments but guitar samples a...

Re: How to 'favourite' presets in Ableton Browser?
I read a tip (I believe it was on the 365 Ableton tips blog) that I use now and love. I made one of my shortcut folders in the browser (of the 1, 2, 3 buttons) a favorites folder. This is located on a separate location from my regular Live library. Whenever I find a patch, or make a patch, that I li...

Re: Do people actually use arpeggiators?
I like to use an arpeggiator to create a texture, or to make it easy to create a perfect pulsing rhythm. This song of mine I used it almost through the whole song as a texture panned to the right (comes in at about 20seconds) http://peaksofvalleys.bandcamp.com/track/the-line Nothing is cheating, don...

the ability to see the rack and the piano roll at the same time. Or a piano roll view that takes the space of the session/arrange space. Or a 3 or even 4 way split view of piano roll, rack, session, and arrange view with the ability to resize or hide in any configuration.

Re: Notation in Live 9?
every time I try and use a notation editor in a daw (i've used them in pro tools, logic, and digital performer) I've wanted to claw my eyes out. They only seem to bloat the daw and cause more problems. Sibelius is an amazing program and notating in sibelius and exporting midi tracks to live would be...

Re: Experienced DAW user - but new to ableton - can you help??
This is really something that the session view is used for. I know coming from a linear daw trying to sort of place features in your previous daw onto a new one will just never work. It took me years of on and off use of ableton live coming from pro tools before I got used to the way it works. I mig...
