Switching presets on the softstep 2
Hi So I figured out a workaround for my softstep looping set. I have a different softstep preset for each track that I'm on in ableton. It works fine as long as I remember to switch the preset using the navpad when I change the track in ableton. Can I ask is there a way of sending a midi note or som...

Re: improvised berimbau
https://soundcloud.com/slatepipe/sets/berimbau-improvisations i've done six pieces now and flung them all in a soundcloud playlist. the mrs bought me a padded berimbau shaped bag specially for it for christmas so i figure i'll be trying to do some live performances with it here and there in the new ...

https://soundcloud.com/slatepipe/the-slate-pipe-banjo-draggers-berimbau-improvisation-flower-over-eye-like-button-181218 last night i made another piece, with different effects, some max for live ones, the Wow and Flutter VSt, and a tube amp sim. pleased with how it turned out. ambient noise acousti...

Re: accessing currently selected Looper parameters
Right, but what I'm saying is the buttons you are trying to "dynamically map" aren't accessible via M4L so its not as simple as controlling the volume, or 8 macros, etc. The looper device is quirky. yeah, i think i'm drawing that conclusion too. really odd that you cant access those littl...

Re: accessing currently selected Looper parameters
hi - thanks again, all good info, and i think i'm getting closer to figuring it out. i was triggering a Looper to record last night, but not to play afterwards, probably due to my poor MFL skills maybe i'm using the wrong phrase when i say dynamically mapping? but i've made a few patches now where i...

Re: accessing currently selected Looper parameters
hey thanks for this chapelier, it should help a lot. i figure the 'state' is the main big button? does this mean that there is no way of accessing the four smaller buttons above it? it's those which i want to have dynamically midi mapped, as well as the undo and clear buttons edit - i've just been t...

Re: accessing currently selected Looper parameters
thanks again so i know that it can be done :) i'm trying to use the code i've already done to dynamically control the dials in a rack when the rack is the first device, but i need to change the dial to a button to control the rec/play/stop/clear buttons in looper. i use the dial 'rack 1' in the devi...

Re: accessing currently selected Looper parameters
hey cheers - so with the ClyphX advice, do i assume that this isn't possible in MFL? or would Peeddrroo maybe know different? (i haven't asked him yet)

accessing currently selected Looper parameters
hi i've made a patch that lets me control the volume, panning, sends and rack controls in whatever highlighted track i'm focused on. i'm trying to now access the controls of a Looper on the currently selected track but i've read here and there that you can't access Looper controls via the LOM? Is th...

improvised berimbau
https://soundcloud.com/slatepipe/the-slate-pipe-banjo-draggers-berimbau-improvisation-81218 i went to Brazil last month and came back with a Berimbau. i been playing around with it since then, with a pretty good mic stuck in it and linked up to six loopers in Ableton. I did this tonight and decided ...

how to record Looper into arrangement?
is this possible to record Looper into arrangement on the actual track that Looper is on? at the moment i have another track set up to record from the Looper track, which works fine but seems a bit of an odd way of doing things. i have the Looper track set to ext in to record and then loop audio but...
