I'ts an amazing rugged card, with plenty of ins and outs, Traktor Scratch compatible, sick latency and audio quality. Thé DJ USB card to beat atm.

The Ikea Expedit ( http://www.ikea.com/gb/en/catalog/products/50103086) bookcase, turned on the side, has been widely known for years as the perfect home dj solution. One, albeit small, drawback of the Audio 8 dj is that it doesn't have digital outs, which of course would be nice considering that the DJM 800 has digital ins.

I have the card for a month now and it absolutely rocks! Sick latency and audio quality, lot of ins/outs, very rugged build quality. It's supposed to be freeware I guess but if you wanna be sure just buy the latest copy of CM and you're good to go.

Btw this month's CM issue includes some nice Producer masterclass video's as well: Bushwacka (Ableton) and Darren Tate (Logic)

Aside from NI's AK1, does anyone have experience with this device in particular? http://www.nativeinstruments.de/index.php?id=audio8dj Would you recommend it for music production and laptop dj-ing? How does it sound quality wise compare with my current M-audio Audiophile 2496? Btw for what it's wort...

Just d-loaded it from a mix, its is a cool track though. Although probably a bit overhyped

Still no audiophile 2496 drivers. Unbelievable that they are lacking proper driver support for such a popular product
