Glad you're loving it, I just recently purchased an Octatrack and have it synced to Ableton Live and using Push 2 with it is heaven. Live finger drumming and capturing loops to instantly mangle on the Octatrack is a dream come true.

My first frustration after buying Push 2. Love being able to sample and see the waveform on the Push but as it stands it's just a pretty visual. Very surprised by this.

Ok thanks man. I thought that Sampler would be able to sample AS THE NAME IMPLIES. They should rename it to Sample Instrument or something similar. Hardware samplers can sample, why not software samplers. Have I used the word Sampler enough yet Sampler, sample, sampling, sampled, samples, sampley.. ...

I don't get it, I've loaded Sampler onto my track but can't for the life of me figure out how to record into it.

That Live 10 can do away with Audio and MIDI tracks and instead has 'Hybrid Tracks'
With this you can record Audio straight to MIDI devices using Push and none of this faffing around with 'converting' business.

PXT-Live gave us velocity in step sequence for Push1 and it was so much better than vanilla Push.

+1 for this as a request (even though I don't have Push2)

For what it's worth PXT-Live+ can do numbers 1 & 3 on your list.
I know this thread is about Push 2 but Stray might get around to updating PXT-Live one day.

The only times I would leave PushI whilst making beats or recording melodic instruments would be to Crop the loop down to what is displayed.

Crop button would be fantastic.
