Splitting midi signal

I want to control VJ clips with Arkaos on a second laptop triggered by same controllers I'm using with ableton on main laptop. Ideally these VJ clips would fire at same time as abletons clips via launchpad . Q: Could i simply buy a cheap usb/midi cable for the second laptop and have it receive (shar...

Re: Monomeemu / Stretta Obo / Launchpad

Ah...I see, its the same thing as the monomeemu! ..with the bonus that the mappings/configs save with the set, the mappings much easier thanks to the HUD and monome window...and Obo works! I just wanted something funky to do with User Mode 2 for my live sets rather than just adjust perams, never kne...

Monomeemu / Stretta Obo / Launchpad

Normally very resourceful and tenacious with this lark but cant seem to get my damn launchpad to input notes with the Stretta Obo patch (run alongside monomeemu- latest version) I can add notes to the matrix with mouse and it feeds back to the LP no problem but can input with the LP. got Polygome64,...

Re: Bass guitar VST comparison

Broomstick Bass VSTi does what you want using the upper key range as modifiers. Not brilliant sound wise when compared to Trilogy but has that 'live' play control you desire. Pretty cheap too!

Re: Post your set up and your sexy cat...

New standing position set up, all portable for live work/Keyboard workstation to the right/other view including 'Brown Dog' one string slide bass/crappy pick of ceiling cloud (needed due to nature of building, creates a nice dead space and compliments the rest of the rockwool sound conditioning. Too...

Syncing Up Gear n DAWs..

Hi Guys, Starting a live electronica band with a couple of old mates from the 80's. One guy plays keys via a rack of Reason synths using his old yamaha synth as controler keyboard. The other guy has a Korg x50 and a bloefeld. I'm using ableton to make and mangle beats, add the odd misc synth line, f...

mac mini solo

Just inherited a 2006 mac mini solo 1.5 ghz.

Any mac heads think its worth upping the CPU n ram to use as a daw ?

Could I use it as fx teleport slave with my acer dual core laptop?

Will I notice any performance improvement compared to my maxed out 2.8ghz acer running tiny xp?

Cheers

Re: Will there be a "Apply FX to track" feature soon?

Freezey stuff I do: Copy/ duplicate tracks to selective freeze certain parts. Freeze clips from arrangement in session mode for quick freeze. (dont have to wait for silence to be skipped, ok if you have no arrange mode automation of course!) Cut un-freezable fx like side chain n that, freeze/flatten...
