Personally I only use LUFS metering to get me close initially for this kind of thing. Set it to -12LUFS or whatever you want, but then fine tune the clip gain for each song by ear. Like you said, some tunes just sound louder or quieter than you would expect given how everything is set to the same LU...

There are no workarounds at the moment that I know of.

I would make sure Live 10 is compatible with the latest MacOS, otherwise I would absolutely upgrade to a newer M Mac.

Just means you're hitting the limiter too hard, so the easies option is to just turn down the input or turn up the threshold to reduce how hard you're hitting the limiter. The new kicks are likely just compressed more and are making your song louder than it was before, so you're doing more limiting ...

The only thing I still tend to reach for 3rd party options for is a decent limiter. Live's is ok as a basic tracking limiter, but for any sort of heavy mastering duties I think it lags FAR behind other options. With how far along the beta is now and how close we are to release I think you’ll be fine. I have a ton of important projects of my own that I’ve been using the beta for without worry.

You have to have the same packs installed on Push and your computer too, did you check you're not missing any of those?

You don’t need M4L for this, just enter midi map mode (CMD or CTRL+M), select a clip, then play a key on your controller that you want to trigger that clip.

Are you using the USB c connection and not the USB A port on Push 3?

Nope. I don’t even think the beta version has been fully opened up to everyone that signed up yet.
