Yeah definitely a message box, a flonum will bang when it changes and i don't really want that behaviour if i can help it...... In the inspector there isn't the option for decimal places nor does it give any detail in the help file.... I think i'm using the wrong thing entirely so back to the drawin...

Just me then? I've nearly figured out follow actions at clip end regardless of what you do with loops in the clip, trouble is the loop bang is preventing it from being perfect!

To get the stablest results out of it the loop has to start at the same point as the highest resolution eg. on a 4bar point.....

Surely this isn't a design?

I'm watching it cycle through the clip i'm observing and it's as random as anything as to when it actually bangs, sometime it hit the final beat others the first but just as randomly three or four beats into a bar.... I kinda need it for the timing aspect of my follow action work, that is unless we'...

Solved it.... If you do an observe on the track for the fired slot index, when a clip is fired it gives the slot index, then of course when it's become launched (playing) there aren't any clips fired and so it reverts to a -1 which with a quick if "$i1 == -1 then bang" you get a bang only ...

Trouble is the playing status seems to change each time i turn loop on or off and i really only want it when the clip first starts....

That is unless i'm doing it wrong?

As it says i need a bang to happen when a clip starts playing, however i don't want it banging again when it crosses any loop start....

I've got it so i can bang when i change clips but how do i do it when i'm just retriggering a currently playing clip to play from the start?

Pathc = patch spelt wrong and not some clever max object that i don't know about, but probably should.... Cool i understand it now, gonna have a play and work it to replace the stuff i've done as it's more stable in beats and bars than what i was using.... Now how do i store a number.... off to the ...

I'm lost as to what that pathc is trying to do? Can you explain it just a little? I'm using counters rather than transports so i don't really know how to use them, mine just get tied to the global transport.....

Ahh i get ya, that's perfect for a couple of mash ups that i have that go from house tempo up to drum and bass.....

So i could record the automation into the clip and not have to worry about doing it manually with the fader?
