I know novation have included key commands with automap but i dont know if the ableton template can be amended to include shift space

you can set the start point in live so play will start the song at a different point

Like evengy said you can copy the instance of simpler that lies in the pad but cannot copy the pd itself, if you use cmd x or ctrl x to cut then go to the new drum rack, open up the devices list and paste in there. you will then have to open up i/o's and choose what note u want to trigger the simple...

how have you recorded your drums? are they live acoustic drums or sampled and recorded with midi notes?

are you recording in session or arrangement view?

when you say you set the drum loop to cover 100 bars is this the length of the clip?
