mda FreeVerb is definately better that Live's internal reverb, pluggo's chamberverb is good too....although none are what I would call "Light" on cpu.

How do I do precise resampling (to make loops for later)

What I want to do is define an exact length (say four bars exactly from beginning of recording)of time that I can resample while my arrangemant is playing, so that I can later load up the samples and have them loop perfectly without more editing (recording and stopping the resampling by hand almost ...

Multiple Firewire devices

I'm just a music hobbyist really, but I've gotten to the point where I think I'll sink some more cash into it....so my question is: I need (badly need) an external HDD and an external soundcard (for recording multitrack jams with friends etc..) will I notice any decreased performance if I route them...

no luck! this started after I installed 4.1.1 I think it may be a bug with my computer, I have noticed several other problems in live I have not had before either...such as core audio sometimes being turned off on Live startup and failure to recognize my external sound card (just a cheap 1in/1out us...

This makes no sense at all....the problem is very odd. I just discovered that my arrangement is completely NOT the same arrangement I had before....my vocals track is now appearing in 3 separate tracks that were previously occupied by various other clips. The clips still exist in session view...but ...

cpu going crazy! please help

Yesterday everything was fine....today it all went to hell. The set I was working on yesterday was fairly cpu intensive (3 wavestations and various audio tracks +effects) but it was still within the limit of my computer (about 63-70%). Today however I can't play the song at all. my cpu goees crazy (...

Scene Triggering...ARGH!

So I've set up my scenes in the order I want to play them into my arrangement, great: everything works fine. BUT.... if I trigger my scenes using my keyboards up/down and return keys the scene will continually loop ONLY the first bar! Is this a known bug? is this a preferences issue? I like that the...

newb mastering question..

Anyone know where I can find a good tutorial on mastering that explains all the basics? (proper use of compression, EQ techniques, normalization etc...) I'm pretty much in the dark about the proper way of doing stuff, so my tracks all have that "tweaked to death by an amateur" sound. I've ...

just so you know....buying a 512 ram chip will not give you 768....it will only give you 640. iBooks only have one extra RAM slot on top of their built in so you will have to throw away 128 megs. kind of a pain in the ass but still worth it. I did that upgrade for about 100 USD and noticed an immedi...
