Re: Features you would like to see in Ableton 9?

I cant possibly read thru all these posts, but yea.. different Low/Highcut slopes in EQ8 is a obvious update feature imo. Sure, we have 24db slope in Autofilter, and 48db with multiband.. but it isnt not a perfect solution really. you can make it steeper if you use more than 1 "point" on ...

A 808 is mainly a sine..so...
Its easier to just use a synth's sine directly instead, easier to know what note your playing, and control its ADSR etc.

Re: help decipher this kick.

He layers a few kicks together (acoustic ones with 909's i guess, like everyone else)), and put a massive low sinewave underneath, and then sidechain everything heavy against it. Thats "all" really.. but then it goes thru a nice master-chain, to really sqeeze it all together. Love this sou...

Re: Current state of Automap?

Although I use the instant mapping method and save with racks as well (for APC40), Novation automap universal is actually even easier and has some distinct benefits: -You get to use all 24 controls and32 buttons. (Not just 8 encoders) -You get to actually use buttons (toggles, selections etc.) -You...

Re: Current state of Automap?

Havent read the whole thread, so i might be repeating here, but anyways.. My automap works like a charm, never understood why some people keep hating on it. However, i personally prefer doing my setup with my Remote SL inside of Live. This way i have easier control of what parameters to control or ...

Re: Best USB interface for Ableton?

Ive been on a hunt as well, since my E-MU 0404 USB just doesnt work. Decided against Motu Microbook or the Roland Quad-Capture, but now i decided to wait for this instead: http://mixonline.com/musikmesse_2011/alva_nanoface_usbmidi_interfacce/ Looks like a tasty RME! Rumour have it the price is gonna...

Re: Audio Interface Suggestions Please

Im getting rid of my EMU 0404 just because it too crackles up with Live and MacBook, so i thought of getting one of these instead:

Should be perfect, and also, it looks real tasty. :)

Re: Live only using one Core..or..?

Oh, right, the "System-Profiler" says im booting in 32bit, so thats that then. Ok, tested the Beta driver. Didnt make any difference. I guess a new sound card is in order then, if i wanna continue using Live that is, or ill go full on Logic... Btw, the crackles are all back now again, yay....

Re: Live only using one Core..or..?

Ok, good to know. I did browse the E-MU forums, to discover theres plenty more than me having the same problem with Live and their 0404. E-MU says that OSX boots up in 64bits and then switch over to 32bit, but if you hold down the 3 and 2 keys at the bootup, it will boot in 32bit from start, and as ...

Re: Live only using one Core..or..?

Ok, tried the internal soundcard, and i could easily reach 85% before any crackles started to show. And even then it didnt totoally crackle up to unusuable level like the EMU does when hitting the 50% limit. When going back to the E-MU again, it managed to handle up to 60-70% without totally crackli...

Re: Live only using one Core..or..?

Thanks, i already knew about the multicore distribution, good tips tho. Activity Monitor tells me that Live is using 130% CPU usuage, and the CPU monitors both shows activity. They both looked maxed out. Live cpu meter show me 60% cpu usuage. So ok, seems both core's are at use, but still doesnt exp...
