I'm sure the Phatty Rack is good but lack of controls is a killer for me... You could use a controller for it but what is the point... Anyway it is far better than the Tetr4...

Why I don't use Ableton much anymore? Bought a Machinedrum a few months back and I now use the sequencer on it for studio and Live Pa... The Machinedrum has taken over for Ableton much more fun and creative using the MD... Let us know what you end up buying and also good choice on ditching the Tetr4...

Go for the one with the most hands on control... Memory meh... Once you know your way around an analogue synth you should have no trouble dialing in the sound you want... Good to hear that you were able to return the tetra... I'm not a preset person but going thru all the presets on the tetra nothin...
