Re: Need assistance with headphones
To be honest I would keep the headphones and get a better audio device. I don’t think the Focusrite is a bad interface. For starters it is more then adequate. I trust Focusrite for their reliability and their decent drivers. OK, you can buy the likes of a RME Babyface for more than tripple te cost,...

Re: Push 2 with multi power supply - does it work?
Better use the supplied power supply, keeps the Push2 safe and working......
For what I have heard is using another power supply asking for trouble.

Re: Noise coming from USB devices?
I assume you've tried switching the USB cable to the launchpad? Totally unscientific, but on occasion when I've had hum with any equipment, I've made sure that only 2 prong plug goes into wall from any device or power strip, so that ground is not engaged, sometimes this can help. You mean taking aw...

And then this one: How to reduce audio interface latency Open Live's Preferences → Audio. The settings you change below will affect the Overall Latency field. 1. Reduce the buffer size The smaller the buffer size, the lower the latency. There's a trade-off though, in that lower buffer sizes require ...

Re: Latency not present in trial version, present in full version
You might want to use delay compensation to have a workaround for it.

Re: Latency not present in trial version, present in full version
And yes some plugins cause huge amounts of latency. That has to do with how many cycles it takes to do the work......

Re: Latency not present in trial version, present in full version
First of all: why would you use a plugin like that on every track in a state of the art DAW like Ableton Live Suite?
Can't you use it after recording all tracks and then put it in hte master track inserts?
Correction: you don't put it on every track.......

Re: How are high quality isolated instrument tracks created?
Check out the old Classic Albums documentaries on Amazon Prime and elsewhere. They go into the original sessions of famous songs and you get to hear some really unique things in the playing you can’t hear in the finished songs. Really awesome series to watch on many fronts. Sure they are interestin...

Re: How are high quality isolated instrument tracks created?
You are absolutely right. I’m more into Geddy Lee and Chris Squire etc. too.
It fits me better too, although I have to say I love reggae basslines too!

Re: How are high quality isolated instrument tracks created?
Everyone and everybody is leaking these days, and it is good fun and educational. Isolated parts can sure help to play the parts as good as possible when you study them. I'm a big fan of Geddy Lee, but it seems almost impossible to play songs by Rush on bassguitar for me. I come a long way replicati...

Re: How are high quality isolated instrument tracks created?
They come probably from the original multitrack recordings.
Especially Geddy Lee recorded a lot of his parts with DI’s and preamps.

Re: Low-latency audio interface?
For my homestudio, I have a Focusrite Scarlet 18i20 3rd generation. I like it a lot, but for your use, I would upscale a bit, and go for an RME interface. They are more reliable, better and faster drivers and better sound quality.
