Well $300 is the maximum. I'd rather it be around $200. Hence why i'm looking at the Akai EIE

I don't even see anyone still buying them, not at this price and weight. I think they should either totally rework it (like a Push but with nice faders and more encoders) or just drop it. I see your point to an extent, but the APC40 does still fill a void in the market. At least at it's used price ...

This sounds like the same issue I had and it is most likely due to your Audio Interface. If your Audio Interface only has 2 outputs then you'll have to change some things to allow for the click & main mix to be separate. Well after playing around with different settings I found something that kinda of works. I put a "Midi Note Velocity" tool before the instrument I am controlling with the Novation Launchpad. I then use the "random" knob on the Velocity tool to add some randomness to the velocity....
