What I was doing dicking around for months? well, simple. Doing the EXACT same thing over and over. Disk defrags, repairing permissions, re-installing PACE extensions, booting from external hard-drives and doing all of the above again. Over, and over. Definition of insanity? Could be, it did annoy ...
