Selecting clips in session view

First of all, I don´t know why there is only 20 scenes (horizontal rows), or am I missing something? Why not indefinite? When you want to allign 2 clips on one scene that are currently on different scenes, you need to free up space in one scene. When you are freeing space in a scene, you have the pr...

I don´t have the program with me right now, but I checked it out, and I think the "random" device only will randomize a note. "Substract" just means that the notes will be randomized downwards, and add means upwards. It doesn´t actually mute a note when u select "substract&q...

I´ve been on that subject too. This is what I´ve done: Insert Arp, Velocity, another Velocity. Set the first velocity to random, and the second to gate, so that it mutes notes above (or below) a certain threshold. The arp will play its pattern, randomly leaving out some notes, so that you will get a...

Thx a lot for your replies. Based on them I mounted 2 Velocity effects. The first one generates random velocity, the second mutes those notes that exceed a certain value. Since I want to record the midi notes of this track, and not directly the audio, this is a setup that works well for me. THX also...

Randomly mute notes

Is there any way to do that? Maybe a free vst, or a tricky setup? THX.

I want scissors too! I cant understand how anybody can vote against an additional feature. If you don´t like the feature, just don´t use it. And by adding standard tools like scissors you are not reaching a point where live becomes too complicated. Anyways you can express that desire in a more polit...

Well, once you have your midi pattern, you can set absynth back in, so its not a big problem, but its strange.

Now it works! I don´t have a clue why, but I had to delete the instrument that was in the track I was recording from. It was absynth. It works when I use the same method with the Operator f. i. This is so cool! The arpeggiator is nice, but when you change one or two notes, it can add a lot of dynamik.

Weird that you can do it and I can´t. Can´t wait to get home and try it again. But right now I can´t figure out why I couldn´t do it, since pre FX did work, only post FX didn´t record any notes. Hope I can figure it out as soon as I get home. Yes it´s gotta be a neat trick and you can probably also ...

Glitch can enhance your drumtrack. Even out of a very simple pattern you can get exciting variations. I record them on a separate track, and cut the good parts out of it. On the KVRaudio page this is the highest rated free plugin. I love it.

www.rebirthmuseum.com There you have the perfect 303 emulation. You can use it via rewire. Its a lot of fun! The rebirth was a commercial product, but its now freely downloadable. I´m surprised nobody has posted this yet. Rebirth is THE 303 emulator. To make it work check out the "rewire" ...

I think the dj is just playing with the volume. The echos are part of the track. To achieve that sound you would have to slide the volume while the notes are playing, "cutting" each note. Thats what I think it is.

Recording Midi Notes from Arpeggiator

Hi! I have an arpeggiated track that sounds sweet, but I would like to change one or two notes that the arpeggiator is playing. To edit the notes that the arpeggiator plays, Im trying to record the midi notes of the arpeggiated track. I´ve built a separate midi track without instruments that takes t...
