thanx, but i don't mean to draw it very fast note by note. i'm looking for a much faster way to draw dotted notes WITHOUT changing the grid (and also without COPY/PASTE 8) )... mhhh, can't describe it better, sorry... :oops: ... any shortcuts available? let me expalin it on another way: its much muc...

at the moment i draw for example a 1/4 note at a 1/4-grid, go to 1/8-grid and draw this note an 1/8 longer and then switch back to the 1/4-grid...

can't find any solution for this, maybe i'm blind or is there no other way?

i'm new to LIVE and missing this way of simple drawing automations was one of the first things i realized.
btw i'm also still working with CUBASE... exporting automations via MIDI... mhhh, i will try this... just for fun...

im in for PHAT and SPACE

it would be very helpful to have some presets for drawing the automation-curves like the SINE-curve in CUBASE, or "RAMPs" (up and down) for more accurate line-drawing for example...

any solutions or more ideas therefor?

JBO99: keep in mind that MIDI is just sending DATA, like which note was played, programchanges, bankchanges, pitch- and modulationwheel... etc. MIDI does NOT transmit SOUNDs! so you have to link your YAMAHAS-line-out (or phone-out) with your soundcards line-in and then you can "sample" you...
