Re: Entry level XILS 3 for basically free
Agree. Especially when modifying its sound with effects like distortion you can get some real nice sounds.

Re: M4L Stability
This Convolution Reverb Pro causing crashes when opening projects is really annoying because it's the M4L device I like most when it's working. And: after reading this thread today I decided to try the Blue2 trick. I moved Blue2.dll away from my VST folder and Convolution Reverb no longer crashed. U...

Re: Ableton packs: 2 questions
If pack version numbers are not shown, IMO Live should check pack versions automatically when it checks whether new versions are available.

Re: M4L Stability (POLL)
I do not use that many M4L devices, but it has been quite stable for me. I've had most crashes when Convolution Reverb Pro is used in a live set and I save and then later load that set. Other problems were mostly from old 3rd party M4L devices that had been released *before* Live9. So they had been ...

Re: !!!SCROLL WHEEL OPTIONS!!!
Speaking of scrolling - my Microsoft Wireless Mouse 500 won't scroll properly in the browser; it works fine in all other applications. I have a Microsoft mouse with with wire and it doesn't scroll browser lists either. At all. And like in your case also works fine in other apps. This is my biggest ...

Re: Mouse wheel support?!
And in some cases (like my Windows7 PC) even scrolling lists using mouse wheel isn't working.
I can't think of any other apps where the scrolling is supposed to work, but isn't.
So the problem is NOT in my mouse, but Live9's code.

I'd replace something from the list with Tone2 Firebird.

Re: The Great BitWig Migration
Confusing things for me. If you were so far off on the coding, why would make a website with IN BETA nearly 2 1/2 years ago? What do YOU think about companies that don't have a website? And how long do you think it takes to make a simple website that shows some info but doesn't have any functionali...

Re: The Great BitWig Migration
- Has anyone speculated that the 2-3 odd years that it took them to develop this may have been because of a contractual obligation or a non-compete after departing Ableton? If 2-3 years sounds long do you have ANY IDEA how much work it takes to write SW of this complexity from scratch? How many oth...

Re: Bitwig vs Ableton - PDC Test (Video)
possibly dumb question... but just curious on opinions. suppose that the abes came out and said 'hey, just kidding, we fixed it and we put the fix into 9.2'. of course you would upgrade - but also, all your old sets could possibly be out of time, if you had adjusted for the errors - they'd now be w...

Re: Bitwig vs Ableton - PDC Test (Video)
So, the reason you dont hear any issues with an arpeggiator is because its prior to the PDC on the audio stream. The reason a lookahead compressor reveals the offset in automation / event timing, is because the compressor is in the audio stream. It incurs latency in order to look-ahead, and while t...
