Re: possible to add additional "extra" slots on the live.step?
Well, I did not really look into it, but I guess (and hope you can feed the step with lists - so if you do not use the step as holder of the info but only as GUI element, you can might be able to use lists and according to what you select just feed it with another list to visualise it ... At least t...

Re: 64 Bit support for VST's!
[quote="logan98us"]Windows 7 is out now so can we expect Ableton to catch up with the rest of the audio production world and offer 64 bit compatibility ?

As long as Pro Tools is not 64bit the pro audio production is not 64 bit - so what to catch up with?

Re: Best bang for your buck monitors
Spazi,
how would you compare the HS80M with the HS50M ... I like the HS80s except for the bass. it is not a catastrophe, but, you know, to me the attacks in the bass are a bit too slow.
No, obviously the HS50 will have less bass, but how do the behave in terms of the attacks?
thanks

Re: Max/Msp vs. M4L
With Max you can of course do most things and more that you can do with M4L ... it is the big brother and stand-alone. With Max standalone you cannot do: - control Live devices and functions directly from with in Live (you can use some MIDI connection stuff to control stuff in Live form Max/MSP stan...

As I understand it, the pluggos will remain as they are part of the appetizers ...
In return Pluggo-Owners will get a discount (see Cycling M4L forum for a thread on that).

Re: patchers within patchers, question about instances/reference
You should use abstractions - means, save those patchers as files and load them (if you save them within the search path of Max you just have to enter the name under which you saved them). I am not sure if it updates automatically. before Max 5 that was no problem, in early versions of Max5 it was (...

Re: Using Logic 8s Plugins in Live - No proper GUI Problem
What are you talking about. It is more than unlikely that you can use Logic's plugins in Live. You might use Apple's plugins, but not those of Logic.
for OS before snow leopard Apple's plugins only show sliders, in SL some have nicer guis ...
hope that helps

Re: Best bang for your buck monitors
Yamaha HS80M or HS50M .... The Adam A7 are great, when I compared them to the HS80M I like the yamaha better because higher freq sound slightly aggressive with the A7s, but when it comes to lower freq the A7 (with their 6,5" speaker compared to the 8" speaker of the HS80M) are a little more responsi...

Re: THE GRID AIN'T RIGHT!!!
Yes, clip automation for MIDI is really bad without a grid for quite a lot of tasks .... What also gets me nuts is the CMD-key shortcut (on Mac) for changing velocity if pressed CMD before pressing the mouse button and moving the mouse and for disabling snap to grid if first moving the mouse and tha...

Hmmm, what about SC, etc .... ?
What about side-chain input ... to instruments, fx and MIDI-fx .... we always wanted to have the ability to generate MIDI events from audio streams if I remember correctly .... MIDI-I/O to Max audio fx? Also it would be nice to hide parts of the GUI like we have it in Live devices for side-chain inp...
