My Dj sets are only 4 tracks but my live acts are 8 tracks, plus the other instruments (Electribes,KP3,Micron,Guitar,SP-505,etc).

I use Soundstudio 3 for that... it's light,faster...and way more easier to work with than Logic.

I used a Macbook Pro with a RME Multiface and they totally rock, very stable on the road, the only downside is that I had to use an adapter for the PCMCIA to Expresscard and one day this adapter broke leaving me with the need to use my old Firewire Audiophile while I get the replace for the adapter ...

I still use a Macbook Pro 17",2.16Ghz, 2Gb, core duo, to play with my band using Live and Guitar Rig (both standalone), and a RME Multiface as a soundcard, controlled by the RK1,FCB1010 and a UC33e. No problems at all.

I'm in Colombia working as a musician and teaching Live but soon I'll be back to NJ, maybe we can meet and I'll show you some tips about the program.

I'm still using Live 7 and warping is not a problem for me...I can do it in about 15-25 seconds per track.
