Is it anything outside of Ableton or anything that does not use asio drivers?
One thing that comes to my mind is that the windows mixer is on mute.

Re: Control instrument rack with sidechain?
Check '18.5.4 Chain Select Zones' in the manual.

Re: Foot Pedal MIDI on/off mapping
Hi,
The value in Live from 64 to 127 is to indicate that the button is 'on'.
That would mean if the value is < 64 the button should be off.
Sorry, I'm out of ideas...

Re: Foot Pedal MIDI on/off mapping
the manual for the Line6 software says: If the MIDI Command is MIDI CC, you can choose a value of 0 through 127, or Custom. If Custom is selected, the Toggle 1/Up and Toggle 2/Down options in this control row become selectable, so that the each Toggle action can be defined with its own separate MIDI...

Re: Foot Pedal MIDI on/off mapping
ok, can you send a note in stead of a cc message? I just tried with my old fcb1010 which does not support toggles on the switches of the floorboard but I can toggle a switch in Ableton when I assign a note to the footswitch (and no cc). I can switch a button in Ableton with the footpedal and a cc (s...

Re: Foot Pedal MIDI on/off mapping
I think the DATA1 is ok. I think MidiOX shows it in hex and starts counting at 0. So that 15 would be A and 16 would be 10. But to toggle you only need one button on your controller. I hope this is the issue now. OK, to check: Use only ONE button to control the on/ off status of your ableton device....

Re: Foot Pedal MIDI on/off mapping
If you put one footswitch in toggle mode then you should be able to toggle the FX button on and off with that one footswitch button. But that is not the case? Can you check what midi commands the footswitch is sending? You can use midiOx to see the commands that are coming from the pedalboard. (do c...

Re: Looking for recommendations for audio-friendly motherboards
First thing to look at would be the grounding of your computer and other gear to check whether you have ground loops somewhere.
I generally have problems with connected gear when it connected with unbalanced connections and USB.

Re: HELP! Can't fix latency
Did you choose the asio driver in the ableton live settings?
Cable length is not relevant for latency.
How much latency do you have? (record a drum hit with your microphone and see how big the difference is, this is in the lessons that are in live)

Re: Does anybody know IRCAM Lab TS?
mrdelurk,
Have you gotten TS2 to work as audio editor from within Live (with the edit button on an audio clip)?
I can get the editor to open but it does not show the audio that I want to edit.

Re: Processor Use
I don't assume asio4all is only for laptops. I was only sharing my personal experience which involved a laptop. And in my specific scenario (old laptop, very low buffer size so that I could play e-drums) the soundcard/ driver made a huge difference. Literally the difference between unusable because ...

Re: Processor Use
What samplerate have you set in your preferences? If you have 96 or 192 kHz then it will help your performance to lower it to 44.1 or 48. Also increasing the buffer will help. You can do this in the asio4all control panel. since you are talking about asio4all I assume that you are using your motherb...
