Re: Track MIDI filtering...
Thanks for confirming. At least it's not me going crazy. Unfortunately, I'm already using Bome's and the reason I wanted it to work the way I outlined above is so that all my controllers go through Live tracks and then to Bome's. But it's alright, I figured another workaround involving using a mixtu...

Re: Track MIDI filtering...
Anyone? Driving me a bit mental... Though I realise that this is likely but unfortunately just the way Live works.

Re: Track MIDI filtering...
Thanks for responding, appreciated. In order to do what I want, I enable the TRACK button just for input in Preferences, so that I can create a MIDI track to take the MIDI data from my controller and send it out to Bome's on a virtual cable (where it may be processed and returned to Live on another ...

Track MIDI filtering...
Is there any way to stop Live filtering out repeated MIDI messages sent into a MIDI track? I have a MIDI controller that has three incremental encoders i.e., with "notches" like are often used for scrolling through tracks in DJ software and turning clockwise sends a CC message with value 6...

Yes. In comparison to Reaper's implementation, it's crap.lalo wrote:maybe there is some strange thing in Live about multicore processing?

VST porting of Live devices...
I would love to see the Live instruments and effects available in VST format for use in other hosts, available for sale separately and as a bundle. Extra revenue for Ableton. I realise many of the instruments already have their VST counterparts in the AAS catalogue, but Operator has no counterpart s...

Re: Discrepancies between Ableton CPU meter and the system CPU
I believe (from what I've been told) that the Live CPU meter shows the highest load of any single core at the current time, whereas your OS CPU monitor will show the overall load of all available cores.

Re: Audio routing CPU load...
Thanks for responding. more routings = more cpu the reasons are obvious.. Thanks... I realise that it is logical for more routings (or any additional activity/processing)to require more CPU power and I would be happy if that were the case. But it's not. As I said, adding one, two, and even three rou...

Audio routing CPU load...
Has anyone else noticed a significant increase in CPU load when employing multiple alternative audio routings? Specifically, I have noticed it while running Maschine (1.7.2) as a VST in Live (8.3) and routing Groups' outputs to different audio tracks in Live. Upon the second or third routing, Live's...

Although this is probably common knowledge... AAS String Studio is more or less Tension AAS Ultra Analog is more or less Analog AAS Lounge LIzard is more or less Electric AAS Chromaphone is more or less Collision Though in my opinion, you get a bit more out of the AAS versions (even if it's only the...

Re: Multicore support needs a big overhaul
I've recently started using Live again and, coming from Reaper, I had a big surprise in store. I started transferring/translating/converting/porting my Reaper projects to Live last night, using the same plugins....... It was quite a hard pill to swallow, to be honest, and it was an awful shock. Kee...
